Sticky Dreamcast Arcade Stick?

I scooped up a used Sega Dreamcast Arcade Stick. It's the "official" Agetec stick, with the lime green knob and buttons. It feels great, but the stick sometimes gets stuck momentarily in the bottom right corner. Should I return it and demand my $9.00 back from Funco, or can it be opened up and cleaned/repaired?

try to clean it, then if it doesnt work, bring it to funcoland compleatley torn apart, and say i want my money back.
