Many of you made new year's resolutions to beat more games (or even just play more vs. collecting). Though I didn't, if I had I'd be off to a good start!

Last night I beat Mendel Palace for NES. Thank goodness for infinite continues! I think I used almost all of them. ;)
Oh, and I had to use 2 player mode to beat the boss who turns you into a swimmer. I still beat it by myself, but you could conceivably call that cheating. :embarrassed:

Maybe I will try beating one game every month. Next one will probably be either Einhander or Metal Slug X for Playstation.

I finished Blood Omen 2 for Gamecube...although it was pretty short to begin with.

Crimson Skies XBox, it's short too. I did not 100% it, so I'm trying that now.

Last Friday, Jan. 2nd, I finally finished Super Mario Bros. for NES, thereby completing one of my New Year's resolutions. I had never finished it up until then.

And it only took me three tries to get past Bowser. :rocker:

I beat Metal Gear Solid: Substance a few days ago. (had to play through it again, I love holding up the emeny soldiers.

And I beat Radiant Silvergun last night for the first time. But I had to play it on Arcade mode (where you can give yourself unlimited credits) instead of Saturn Mode (where you can only have 3 credits with 10 lives per). Dam that game is really hard! The end boss is insane! But I'm trying to beat the shit out of my Saturn games b/c I'll be moving soon and the Saturn will go into storage I think. So next up to beat is Guardian Heroes and Rockman 8!

Then I'll get back to Wind Waker followed by restarting Metroid Prime.

Dam I have my work cut out for me, wheres the time for SCII? Dam!

I spent something like 6 hours playing Tony Hawk's Underground through new year's eve, and I managed to beat it early Jan 1st.

I've got a pretty good run going on Wind Waker, I imagine it'll be the next to go.

Ghost Recon (xbox). I guess doing all the missions in elite mode counts as finishing it...

Castlevania for the N64 (I had beat it earlier, but this time got all the secrets). Either that or Monopoly for the nes, that game is too addictive. LOL

It was either Samurai Shodown V or Metal Slug 5. I beat Metal Slug 5 most recently... it was a satisfactory game but it can't compare with the first two exceptional titles in the Metal Slug series.

Gotcha Force for the Cube. If anyone digs Gundam: Federation Vs Zion, then pick up Gotcha Force. Its the same game since Capcom made them both.

*EDIT* Its not the same game because Capcom made them both. Best I can figure is they made a game using the same engion( i can't spell) that they programed FED VS Zion with. Either way, they are both very good games. We now return you back to your thread with more eloquint gamers posting.

I picked up Beyond Good and Evil yesterday and finished it today. It was a tad bit short (I think somewhere around 8 hours...no in game clock), but I certainly enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely one of the better games this year...quality over quantity. And the $20 price makes it even better.
