I have always found msx computers interesting for their games

I was wondering if there are any msx/msx2 games price/rarity guides available. thing is I see some games sutch as Snatcher and Vampire Killer demand high prices and other games much less.

what are the rarest/most expensive games for the system?
how about something like Hydlide III (cart only, though).

help please!!!

Akumajo Dracula is a $100+ game.
I think Aleste is quite pricey as well.

Other than that, I'm clueless.

How about Technosoft? Herzog -- their precursor to Herzog Zwei on the Genesis -- was damned near impossible to find for the emulator. I imagine the actual physical game is pretty hard to find.

I also understand that the first Thunder Force shooter appeared on MSX. It was apparantly a top-down shooter, like the overhead levels in TF2. Unfortunately, I could never find any physical evidence the game exists. Any leads?

Snatcher was on eBay a few days ago along with SD Snatcher, but then it vanished :o $150 each or so.

Akumajo Dracula can indeed be a $100 game...I saw a copy which I think was perfect on eBay last year which went for $86 or so. Recently my contact quoted me $100 for a complete copy at a local shop. A loose cart was only $20, though. Hmm. That's a rather suspicious price gap if you ask me...who'd throw out their game cases for the MSX? O_o

There's more stuff of course. I don't know what all's available for the disk drive (and that disk drive doesn't come standard in most units, usually a plug-in module), but I know Undead Line is such a game. $50 from Nomeaz, or something like that. Probably worth more, the poor guy :(

It isn't "Metal Gear Solid". It's just "Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake". Metal Gear Solid is the 3D version...

lol- when i was working at a game shop a couple of years ago, this guy comes in with a shoebox filled with 40-50 msx games- cart only some rare stuff. my eyes bugged out, but my boss bought all the carts off the guy for $25, and sold most on ebay for between $20-$80. i ran into the guy a few days later on the subway on the way to the store- he had a msx and 5 games with him- i made sure i liberated them from him before he got off the train, lol...
