I won the auction over two months ago. It *finally* got here. I rip open the package ...

And there is no power cord.

Fuuuuuuuuuck.

I take a look at the auction again. No mention other than it's 'complete' and the picture doesn't look like it contains a power cord.

Fuuuuuuuuuck.

I've emailed the guy (again) and asked about it. If he brushes me off, where can I get a new/used power supply? I noticed 4Jays has one new for $20. Considering I paid $60 for the system and 12 games, $20 + shipping doesn't appeal to me.

Last year I decided I didn't want my 7800 anymore but I wasn't sure anyone would want my console because the carts are really tight in it and it's hard as hell to get them in and out of the machine. Because of that, I sold the games and the controllers but kept the console. And yes, the power cord is still here. Thus, if you you can't get any satisfaction from the seller, send me an e-mail at Rogmeister@i-love-cats.com and give me your mailing address and I'll send it off to you.

Thanks Rog. I'll probably take you up on that. I checked B&C this morning and they want $20 for the cord as well.

I went through the carts this morning (I have to update my database after all, with title and DP Guide Rarity :) ) and was at first upset that a 2600 game had slipped in there (I had specifically asked if they were all 7800 carts).

The game was BMX Airmaster. Not the Atari version, but a 4 nonetheless. Definitely makes me feel a bit better about the deal itself.

If you're into wiring stuff, a 2-pin connector like those used on computer motherboards for the HDD LEDs, reset, keyswitch, etc. can be spliced into a 9V power connector and used with the 7800. That's what I'm using now, and it's alot better than spending $20 frickin' bucks on a junk NOS Atari power supply.
