Ok, ok, I know this is supposed to be in the Events Forum. And it is, but I don't think it's getting much publicity. So if everyone can bear with this post for a few days, I'd be much abliged.

January 10th, Pinball Pete's in Ann Arbor

1214 S. University Avenue
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
(734) 213-2502

4pm till whenever.

I'm not going to get the swap thing organized this time...but I'll have my trade stuff in my car if anyone wants to peruse it. If anyone else wants to call Pete's and orgazine it so we can bring a swap deal inside, then they'd be more than welcome to.

I hope to see more people there! Especially those who didn't go to the August meet or Cedar Point.

So let's all get together and game, arcade style!

:bday:

I'd really like to come to one, but I can't this weekend. :(

OH NO!

A meetup in Michigan, and I can't make it! My buddy's B-day is this weekend - so, it's not going to happen.

Do you know how often I see events in Michigan? Yeah, NOT MUCH.

AAARRGH!

Man, that SUCKS.

Any other Michigan events to know about?

Nope. The next would be whenever someone wants to organize one. Which, judging from the reaction that this one has gotten (endless apathy), I wouldn't hold my breath. For the love of God there's been a thread on it for over a month and barely anyone's said anything in it, or even if they'd go.

Achika, of course, knows my situation, which I'm trying to get cleared up, if certain people would, you know, not work every effing day that I'm trying to get a hold of em.

Man....I'm in Ohio, but if I had had more notice, I DEFINITELY would have been there. As it is, there's no way I can drive to Michigan this weekend.

It sounds great, and I'd like to go at any cost... I mean, Michigan isn't that far from PA... but my parents wouldn't be willing to take me. If I had my own place and car, then I'd be travelling over there right now! But... *sigh* Being a high school freshman sucks. Sorry. :(

I live in Ypsi and work in ann arbor, I'd be willing to head on by before work on saturday. I work at 5 but I can stop in and say hi to a few people.

I can't make it either, I'm afraid. Ann Arbor is a long, long drive from Ionia, and I need to be at my parents' house to celebrate my stepfather's birthday. Sorry!

Well, I know that getting together with some random people seems like fun to me. I'd be willing to kick in a ride for someone that's on the way if we do something like this on another day... One that I am free to go.

Coldwater is deserted, but it seems like the perfect geographical area to hold something like this. You could hit up people from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, the Windsor area of Canada (what, 2-4 hours?), and the east side of Illinois.

Ann Arbor isn't bad for this, either...

Lansing is another good spot.

Heck, even Fort Wayne, IN is a good spot. 3 hours for me, which wouldn't be terrible. And heck, there's a heavy geek contingent there - some killer McVan's game stores...

Well this was the date the most people said they'd be able to do, so...not my fault no one can be bothered to look in the events forum.

well count me among those that did not look in the events forum. I just saw this yesterday.

I shall make a pointed effort to more thoroughly peruse the entire forum from now on.

I'll second that. Heck, I saw it on the main page of DP, not in the forums at all....

There's an Events forum? Had no idea.

Ok.....so then it's just hezeus and I going right? HC: If it's ok with you, I probably won't show up (so you don't have to either)

Hopefully michiganders can get together later.

I don't want to drive 45 minutes each way when the people that voted in the poll that is in the events forum haven't spoke up and said they were going. So.....I suppose it's

Cancelled

please unsticky :bawling:

I figured as much, that's unfortunate, but oh well. I would have had to leave early for work anyways :( I'll be sure to keep an eye out for later dates in the events forum for sure to get more ontop of this. Hopefully we can get something together sometime in the near future with a bit higher promised attendance than 2 people ;)

I would've gone and brought like 4 or 5 people if my friend hadn't sprung on me at the last minute that he wanted to spend the day with his prick of a girlfriend.

I'm less then pleased about that, but at least I'm not missing out on anything :(

The events forum hardly ever has traffic, which is why I don't normally look in there. Maybe next time, you could post it here, and then have a mod move it to the events forum (effectively making it more visible). Because, honestly, if I had known two weeks to a month or so in advance, I'd have made the trip all the way from Cleveland (expecially considering it was over Christmas break).
