Building a PC arcade stick

I'm looking for instuctions on how to build an arcade stick for the PC, so I can quit using the crappy controller I have for MAME gaming. If anyone has built one on their own and has some tips, or if you know of a website or anything that has comprehensive intructions on how to build one, I'd love to hear it. And hey if everything works out well, and my finished product looks sweet, I could probably build them for others as well.
