I just recently picked up Resident Evil 2 and have have never played any resident evil game before, and to make a long story short I am in love with this game so much. It has been a LONG time since a game has caught me so, definitely one of my top 5 games ever.

But now, for the question:

Before I get flamed with commentless replys that just have links to GameFAQS or such, I'll say I have done some research and damn near EVERY faq/walkthru I've read has had contradicting information (in fact I've also accomplished something that contradict any faq I've read!) and that is why I am here asking.
As well I did a search for old RE2 topics that may have spoke of this but I found none

As far as I can tell, the unlockables:
=Extreme Battle Mode=
which from the information I gathered you needed to beat a full A/B storyline with A ratings for each character.
=2 Additonal Characters in Extreme Battle=
Beat Leon and Claires missions
=4th Survivor Hunk=
need to beat a full A/B storyline with A ratings for each character.
=Tofu=
need to beat BOTH full a/b storylines with A ratings and beat Hunk's story with any rating.

Now I must say, at first learning this I figured to hell with this I'll never get that many A ratings. and I still don't thik I will, I took the most direct route I could, killing damn near nothing, not picking up anything I didn't need, it took me 1:28 and NO saves and I STILL only got a B!! How fast do you have to do it ???
BUT, then something interesting happened...
I beat "LeonA" with a B rating, and then "ClaireB" with a D rating and I unlocked Extreme Battle Mode... so I thought... maybe the other information could be inaccurate too... especially considering so many FAQs also tried to be a FAQ covering ALL versions of RE2.

And last but not least, two oddities;
The manual says I can unlock more Arrange modes than just rookie, but any faq I've read implys that this is only true in the japanese verion (which I think Arrange mode is) in which you'd just unlock the Normal difficulty version.

As well whenever I beat Leon's A mission with a B rating It mentions I unlocked the Rocket Launcher... yet I never see it in the game... and unlocking such a weapon (or others) is completely unmentioned in any FAQ I read.

Wow, this post became rather long...
In conclusion I just want to know Just what Unlockables there ARE and what the requirements are for each of the unlockables

Alex, I wish I could help you out on this one, and I only played the PS version. Not sure if its the same though. I use to know every secret to this game, but its been so long since I played RE2. If you get to play the Hunk Mission, watch out, it's a Doozie. Also Im not sure, but does the GameCube have the Tofu mission? As I can remember, the Tofu mission was the answer to all those Japanese players who could beat RE1 under 3 hours with just the knife. Good luck. Hope you find what your looking for. :D

One thing to keep in mind that using health sprays/the 2-slot weapons or saving more than 3 times brings down your grade.

The rocket launcher is in the first storage box you find in the police station.

Using health sprays affect your Ranking?... good to know...
It warned me when I unlocked the Rocket Launcher that using it will put a negative affect on my score, but you say it's true for all 2 slot weapons? even the one found in game like the SparkShot, Flamethrower and SubMachine Gun?

Yeah i learned the best thing to do is to say the hell with the first aid spray unless your a first time player of resident evil

Also I have wondered if getting all the Films,A,B,C along with the hidden Rebecca Film D effect your ratingas
