Wow, I hadn't even heard of this, and now I wish I hadn't. The overhead and psuedo-3d levels were always the worst part of Contra, and now they're making them a priority rather than an afterthought. I'll take my money elsewhere thank ya.

The overhead and psuedo-3d levels were always the worst part of Contra
Granted, but still -- Super C and Operation C did them pretty nicely, I thought.
I'll wait and see what happens. I can name a lot of top-down shooters that I've had a lot of fun with -- possibly as much as many sidescrollers -- so I'll be expecting the game to be not half bad.
If it is, then there's probably not much hope left for Konami's classic franchises.

Like I said...I think this would've worked better if it was a new Ikari Warriors game. Then nobody would care that it was isometric.
That said.
Crimson Land was probably the most fun I've had in the last two years. :D
