I wonder what a complete set would go for, including all rares (not NWC). Sealed or unsealed would be a factor too I guess.

Any guesstimates? And how much for a complete collection on other platforms like 2600 or Genesis? Anyone ever seen one get sold?

Sorry if this has been discussed before. Just wondering what the experts would predict :D

You'll NEVER see one for the 2600. There are probably 2-3 complete NTSC 2600 collections on the planet, and they're obviously NOT going to sell :)

As for NES, I would guess around $4,000-$5,000 would be pretty close not including the NWC carts. I know I see 500-600 carts go for $2,000-$4,000 pretty often, and that's FAIRLY close. I suppose if you could actually claim you had EVERY NES game, it would boost the price, MAYBE $6,000-$7,000.

I would say around $5,000 or so, with nice pictures and descriptions.

Since all of the panesians plus SE would go combined for around $1,200, then $5,000 would be the best bet. Plus you have the Myriad and Caltron plus the Action 52.

Right now there isn't 1 NTSC complete collection. Not even if you don't count boxes. But you never know what you will see down the road. Some of the biggest collectors are the ones who burn out and give it all up. What is there to fuel the fire after they get them all ?

I would buy that in a second. Based on sales of VERY LARGE NES collections I'd estimate it at double that. I'd say 8-12k depending on many things but a large number of sealed games will certainly add to it.

I'd say the level of completeness of the games would make the most substantial difference. Assuming no NWC's, but everything else is present and complete, I would hazard to guess that a "complete" complete nes set would go for triple the price (or more) of a "loose" complete nes set.

Of course, this entire thread is mere speculation. But I think it is only a matter of time before a "virtually" complete nes set rears it's expensive head on eBay.

Quick example, there are doubles in this lot, but here are 600+ games plus a ton of boxes and manuals, $1700.

I also didn't include panesians, or sachen in my estimates, because I don't count those :) (To each their own, flame if ya want!)

I sold my 615+ lot for over 3,500 last year. That doesn't include boxes, manuals, or dust covers.

I didn't have any NWC's or test carts either.

I would have to guess 5,000 Minimum 7,500 max.

You will usually always see the lots go for cheaper than if you broke it up. I know most know that, just had to throw it out there.
