Best Buy $5 X-Box Games

It seems that the $5 X-Box Games was'nt just an error after all.
Starting tomorrow:

Any platinum X-Box game for $5 if you buy one of the following:

Counter Strike
Rainbow Six 3
Project Gotham Racing 2
Crimson Skies
Medal of Honor RS
True Crime
Max Payne 2
Thug

Best Buy got caught in a price update loop on their website which allowed several people to pick up X-Box Platinum games for $5 each without purchasing the full price game to go with it. It's fixed now.

A few people on Cheapassgamer are saying that you can get an unlimited amount of PH games if you buy one game on that list at the $50 price point. Sounds ludicrous, but it's a pleasent thought.

The ad plainly says buy --A--$50 game and get --A-- platinum game for $5.
It does'nt say get Platinum game(s) for $5 each.

Maybe if you complained to a (stupid or weak) manager you might be able to walk out with more. I doubt it.

I recommend buying Crimson Skies. Worth $50 without getting an extra game for $5.

I second that on Crimson Skies. It's a really fun game with beautiful graphics.

If you guys can get multiples for $5, can some one pick me up one of the following? I have Mace Griffin and Sega Soccer Slam to trade for any of these, and I could care less about PH packaging.

Well, the ad says "Get ANY PH GAME free with the purchase of any of the following 8 X-Box games." Now, somehow, people are interpeting this as any amount of PH games. I understand that it doesn't list a limit, but just reading it should tell you that's it's only one. The word "any" is what seems to be throwing people off over at Cheapassgamer, though I don't see how. Means one to me.

Earlier in the week BestBuy.com had an error where if you put Splinter Cell in your cart, it along with any PH game would show up as $5. I bought 16 games for $80 in case if they would actually follow through, but they caught their error and cancelled all orders involved with this.

I do however get 10% off my next purchase as their way off saying sorry. -_-
