Sometime ago, someone posted in one of these topics -- and I WISH I could find it, but could'nt using the search forum -- about a recent auction in EBay for a Nintendo storage chest.

These were sold around 1990, and are very nice looking -- big sturdy trunk with pictures from Mario and Zelda games on the sides and the top.

My parents bought me one, and I used it for many years. When I saw how much that the one on EBay went for (that one was in wonderfull shape, mien is slightly damaged), I asked my folks to take some pics of it cause I wanted to see if I could sell mine (no one uses it anymore and it's been sitting in storage for years).

In this post are the pics I got (hoping that they load -- all I have for a server is GeoCities, if someone else can suggest a free server. :) )

Here's my questions:

Can someone help me find that post that talked about the Nintendo Trunk like mine that was sold on EBay? Or at least recall how much it WENT for?

What should I list this trunk for on EBay?

How much is a fair price for shipping?

How can I best explain the damage on the top of the trunk?

And does anyone here want this before I list it?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, I know I probaly don't have my bandwith left on my Geocities site -- is anyone else willing to host the pics, or knows of a free site that has more bandwith? Thanks.

The title of the post was "From the insanely cool department." I don't have time to search, but it was in the E-bay forum.

No, the pics WORK, I just went over my bandwith allready.

That's why I REALLY would like to find somewhere else to host them.

Thanks to the first poster, I found the link for the other EBay auction:

Notice how much this one went for and it's perfect condition. Compare that to mine and let me know what you think a fair value is, and I'll take any offers for it. :)

Well, like I said, I have'nt used it for years. :)

Come on, people, I need some help, PLEASE. What do you think a fair listing price for mine should be, based on the pics -- considering a mint one sold on EBay for $100?

I'd venture a guess of $65 plus shipping, due to the oxidation of the frame and the scuffs on top. At least, that's what I'd drop on it if I didn't already have one myself. ;)

If you have a hotmail account you should be able to post them on my pathetic little group.

I would agree with the price Oobgarm posted, or even $75 plus shipping.

Okay guys, thanks! :)

I just listed this on EBay and put it in the B&S area here as well:
