That would be a good find if you had payed for it.

yeah, i mean hell... $50 would be a fair price for a coleco with 2 controllers and the Atari expansion module... add everything else... that's a damn nice find!

Hey, nice job!

That's one of those avenues that doesn't open up for a lot of people: "family members who have left their old hardware in the attic somewhere".

Have you played with any of it yet? I'd be curious to hear your opinion on the games, especially if you've never played a ColecoVision before.

i haven't yet since i plan on taking pictures of the clean up process soon, i'm gonna use them in one of my articles plus i can show you guys the the booty :D
*hopefully tonight my friend will bring his digital camera over*

I think i'll enjoy it thuroughly though. i play the hell out of my 2600 when i'm bored so i at least know the age of the system isn't an issue at all. how different is it playing CV compared to a 2600, other than just controllers?

Cracking good find, DJ :D ! Nothing better than free retro-booty falling into your lap.

My best friend had a Colecovision while growing up which is still languishing around his mom's house. In fact, the last time I was there around 1999 the thing was still hooked up to the TV! Among my buddy's titles were a couple CV gems like Montezuma's Revenge and Campaign 1984. I don't think my friend cares about the system anymore so I suppose could go get it. The problem is that he is presently estranged from his mom and has been for a couple of years now, so it would be damned awkward if I suddenly showed up at her door one day asking for the Colecovision. I just can't bring myself to swoop in until their relationship is restored. Sounds like something George Costanza would do...

Yeah, I'll be back for that Colecovision once I've dropped my Frogger machine off across the street. LOL

I think he meant that would be a good find EVEN if you had paid for it!
That's a nice deal to have fall in your lap!
