Lufia 2 question

Ok, I just got to the first castle and got the bomb item. My question is, how do you select it? When I bring up menu by pressing select, the bomb icon is there, but when trying to select it, the menu scrolls right by it. Is there some sort of method to selecting it?

if so, i played through it about a year ago but i have NO idea what you are talking about, do you have the guide? (or didn't the us version come with a guide?), i'll try and check my guide for your problem...

If your talking about just a regular old bomb, then you can only use it in battle. Just select it from the itm menu during battle and use it as an attack.

Never mind, it seems that the controller becomes de-configured in the game for some reason. I am using official Nintendo stuff, but sometimes the controller goes all crazy for some reason.

You mean the bomb icon you can use in caves, etc for solving puzzles, right or a battle item?

It is used for solving puzzles.
