I recently got ahold of an adapter our very own Sylentwulf sells that allows two PS1/PS2 controllers to connect to the PC via one usb connection:

I have to say this unit rocks! Easy installation (install the driver and plug it in..that's it!) and it works awesomely for emulation. I am using two original PS2 dual shock controllers. Force feedback works, as well as analog and of course everything else. I played a few two player games with my brother in Mame32 (some of the Metal Slugs, some fighters) and it just worked beautifully.
So, if you are looking to use some GOOD gamepads on your PC for emulation or just PC gaming in general (these will work with any game that is DirectX compatible...which is just about every PC game these days) go check out the Electric Quarter and grab it!
BTW: I should point out that the device does not NEED the included drivers installed, but allows access to certain features the native Windows HID driver does not. So, no driver install is actually necessary, but I would install it anyway.
