I'm curious how many people have the Coleco Table Top / mini arcade machines. Those things are so dam cool. from the oldschool screen to the "bleep bloop" sounds that they make.

Most of the ones that I see on eBay are in terrible shape, rusted battery compartments and missing the battery cover. When I was about 8 i bought one at a tagsale, it was after they stopped selling them in stores, but people still had them in their toy rooms, yet to be collectibles. I bought a Donkey Kong one at a tag sale, but got home and it didnt work, thats why it was a buck I guess. Since then I have picked up Pac-man & Ms pacman in excellent shape.

They are awesome games, but honestly, they make Kick Ass Book ends. ^_^

I've got the Ms. Pac Man one. It's kinda sorta my mom's, since she bought it way back when but it's been sucked into my game room. I've found the directions, but for all my looking I can't find the box so I think it might be gone. :(

All the stickers are in minty condition and haven't started peeling away~ and the best part? No corrosion

i was just watching Gremlins with the kids the other night and it had the DK one in a scene. i actually picked up one last summer on my mail route while i was delivering. it was just sitting on the porch waiting to be loved with some other games in a box. bought the box off an elderly woman for $5 and the machine was in absolutely perfect shape. cleaned off the dust and it shines. no peeling, got the battery cover, did have to clean the contacts a bit, but i guess you'll have that with 15 year old batteries sitting in em. btw, it's a DK jr.

You've got another one coming, as soon as I get my sorry ass to the post office.

I've got all of the standard-sized ones, I collected them specifically because of the way they look together, they're not half-bad games, either.

I've got the Frogger one. The box is pretty trashed, but the little bastard still works. I used to be really good at it.

I should pull that thing out and display it. :)

I have the Pacman and Donkey Kong ones. One is missing a battery cover, but they are both the original ones me and my sister had when we were a whoooole lot younger. They were fun to play on, that's for sure.

Interestingly enough, two DKs have passed through my hands recently, one with box. And both times I forgot to check to see if the missing battery cover was for DK! Oops. :)

Is that what that is? I thought it might be a Mario Cement Factory. I believe those are a little more orange though.

Actually, this is one of the better pics I've seen of Joe's Room of Doom. I like the close up pictures where you can see what everything is.

edit- Just looked at the pic again...that looks NOTHING like a Mario's Cement Factory! I guess my visual memory isn't so hot.

Admittedly they're not all in that photo, but I think you can see just about the whole lineup in my section of the game room photos on this page, although those photos are about 2-3 game rooms old now. LOL

I believe Coleco made seven of these: Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Galaxian, Ms. Pac-Man, Zaxxon, and Donkey Kong Jr., though the last of these was a copy of a machine that Nintendo had made, very similar to their tabletop version of Popeye. I remember that there was a mock-up made of an Omega Race tabletop and a Berzerk, both in the same style as the Pac-Man (smaller) casings, but they never came out.

I also highly recommend the not-entirely-un-Coleco-esque Q*Bert game by Parker Brothers, which is in the above picture.

I used to have the Donkey Kong table top game when I was about 5, but I don't know what the hell happened to it. :(

I've got the Pac-Man one, in top form. I do want them all, but I'm in no hurry. I also have the Q*Bert shown above in PDF's picture - quite a good one!
