Anyone else have one of these? I picked one up NIB at a thrift today for $8.00. The box was torn to threads by the guy that was looking at it before I got to it  but everything inside was intact and in their baggies and so on.

Of course, it only came with the pack in Sonic whatever game. I took it out, set it up and me and a friend laughed our butts off at it. It was an interesting concept, but they flat out used the wrong type of videos to sell it... And the concept was obviously flawed and very limited. It works for some stuff, like the amusement park rides Men In Black and the Buzz Lightyear thing, but you get to play against others with those rides. This, you just sit around and shoot the screen.

It is especially annoying in the Sonic whatever game because you are supposed to be a fighter pilot, but because you're basically playing a video, it isn't like hitting the plane on screen will cause it to explode.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has played the other games -- .38 Ambush Alley looks decent, the Rescue of Pops Ghostly looks so over-cheesy that it would be worth picking up and I don't really know too much about the other two. Also, can anyone confirm the existance of the Blue Rangers game? I looked for information on it at a lot of different places, and all that I can find is that it was supposedly released, but no one has seen it.

.38 Ambush Alley
Blue Thunder
Hydrosub: 2021
The Rescue of Pops Ghostly
Sonic Fury

Those are the released games

Fright Night is the one that is unconfirmed to exist.

Blue Thunder is listed by Good Deal Games as being released, but as many auctions as I check and many people that I've asked about Action Max, I still can't find it. That is the only one that I need.

Are the other games worth obtaining? I'm interested, but I don't know just how interested I am.

What was the Blue Thunder game/video about? Another plane simulation?

I loved Rescue of Pops Ghostly! I got an Action Max for Xmas around the age of ten and that was my favorite of all time, try to get it if you can.

I saw one at a flea market once...i opened it and it seemed to be missing an ac adapter and if i remember something else also. i had the box though so i offered the guy $5. He told me no way. He wanted $50. I said it is only worth like 5-10 and he said that i was probably going to go and sell it on ebay for $200. he was crazy. i told him there was no way i could ever sell it for anywhere close to that and he wouldnt budge so i walked out.

I have Blue Thunder so I can confirm it's existance. I have a box of about 60 AM tapes but I'm pretty sure I only had two BTs and one was given to a friend years ago.

A few questions...

First off, want to trade for some of those AM tapes? I'm not really looking for much, as I know this is just going to end up on the shelf, but perhaps we can work something out.

Can you take a picture of Blue Thunder? I'm very curious. What's the video based on?

I was looking for the box last night when I posted but didn't locate it yet. When I do I'll either post here or PM you.

From what I remember of BT, it was flying scenes from the movie. I'll see if I can locate that as well.
