Can you name this game from the 80's

Okay heres hoping someone out there can help me. I am trying to name a game that was in the arcades around 85-88. It was a top down game that had the hero driving a blue car armed with guns. The neat thing was that the hero could exit the vehicle if it took too much damage and find another set of wheels. While walking about your guy was armed with a pistol. You started the game in the country and had to get past a couple of land slides. If I remember correctly you went through a city then ended up on ship docks. The enemies were other armed cars and tanks (I think). This game was popular and had ports to game machines and computers. I remember this game being ported to the c64 but it was horrible. So can anyone help me? :D

The game in question is called `RUSH & CRASH` by Capcom 1986
it is also known as `The Speed Rumbler`although i have never seen this version.

I remember that one of the used video game distributors used to advertise this on their site as an exclusive NES game. When people pointed out that there was no NES version of Speed Rumbler, the company quickly offered a cheesy reason for the game's appearance on their list. "Oh, we were just trying to fool all of our competitors! See, they put Speed Rumbler on all THEIR lists too!" Great, jerks. You also fooled dozens of kids who sent in their money for a game that didn't even exist! I hope you're happy. No, wait, I hope you're out of business by now.
