I know he's done FFX, FF6, Chrono Trigger, and Mario RPG, but what else? I really LOVE his work.

FF7, 8, and 9, for starters. :)

Ah, here's (http://www.nobuouematsu.com/disc.html) a full list of all his work.

He worked on Chrono Trigger, but Yasunori Mitsuda (who did Chrono Cross, Radical Dreamers and Xenogears) and Noriko Matsueda (Bahamut Lagoon) are also credited with that work.

Uematsu's list of works is impressive! He's worked on at least the following:

Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy (1-9) apparently all by himself
Final Fantasy 10 (+ Junya Nakano and Masashi Hamauzu)
Final Fantasy Legend 2 (+ Kenji Ito)
Super Mario RPG (+ Koji Kondo and Yoko Shimamura)

Oh, and thank God for ocremix.org ...that is all ;)

I see! I found that site via Google but didn't check that far in. I'll leave my earlier post unedited, since his site doesn't show what were collaborations and what he did solo.

To address your original question: I also think it would be cool to find out how the collaborations worked out, such as Super Mario RPG which you mentioned. Unfortunately I have no idea how to find that out short of an interview with the composers :(

Holy crap, no wonder the music in Super Mario RPG is so good. Nobuo Uematsu + Koji Kondo = like, the gamer's music dream team! For those that don't know, Koji Kondo does a lot of work for Nintendo's first party titles. He did all the composition for Ocarina of Time, as well as working on the other Zelda games and much of the Mario series.

HOLY CRAP!!! All these years, and I never knew that Uematsu was behind the fantastic score to my favorite RPG ever?!?!? I mean Super Mario RPG, BTW, and yes, it's my favorite, though Earthbound comes in at a close second! Man, I love SMRPG's music... but I haven't listened to it in so long. It's one of the few RPG's I've beaten more than once, and the excellent score might have helped with that. Man, I'm an idiot! I should have known Uematsu did the music... the boss music from Final Fantasy IV being used in the fight against Culex should have been solid proof! x_x

Actually, Yoko Shimomura did almost all the music on Mario RPG.

Nobuo Uemetsu is credited as a "Special Thanks", likely for the music from FF4.

Nobuo also did'nt do anything new for Final Fantasy XI, I believe -- he's listed as one of the music makers, but that's because of his past stuff being in the game.

Very obscure game here, but Nobuo did music to Rad Racer II on Nes. He's listed as the music composer in the credits. I have no idea if he did the music to the original though.
