Years ago, I published Josh Lesnick's excellent History of Pac-Man feature on The Gameroom Blitz. I enjoyed it so much that I recently decided to create my own comprehensive guide to another classic video game series.
Although this feature is far from finished, I'm happy with what I've done so far. Give it a look and let me know if you agree. If you feel there's any way I can improve this article, let me know.

I like it so far :D
One comment is for SI deluxe/part II, shouldn't the title be: "Space Invaders part II (AKA Space Invaders Deluxe)" .. since Space Invaders Part II is the original name? It was of course later ported to the U.S. as SI Deluxe with some minor changes in the game.
Also when you say:
"There are new UFOs, new enemy formations, and even a dangerous new invader which splits in half when you've hit it with a bullet." I was thinking you might want to also add that the UFO often drops reinforcements in later stages (which really does make the game that much harder).
Hey, there isn't very much that was added to part 2 anyway, so you might as well mention them all :P
Aside from that I really dig it! :D Anything Space Invaders instantly gets my vote :)

Thanks, NE1. I guess I should probably reverse the titles, although I always remembered it as Space Invaders Deluxe. It's more of a sequel than the oddball Space Invaders II was, so I suppose I should refer to it as one.
I can't wait 'till I get to review Space Invaders '95: Attack of the Lunar Loonies. That'll be a whole lotta fun!

Ah, Space Invaders. A name that I'm sure none of us don't know. And the history of SI is summed up in this quality G.B. article. Excellent job, Jess! I'd like to see your review of both Super Space Invaders '91 and SI '95 like you said! Don't forget to note the Darius cameo in '95! ;)

Looks great Jess! Anyone know where to find stuff on the history of the Phoenix games?

I remembered another small tidbit of info:
SI was the first game Taito released for the FC. If you check the original FC cartrige you will see a big "1" tag printed in the label. All Taito FC releases were numbered (maybe to allow Taito fans to keep track of missing titles)...
