I was looking for information and pricing on the new Steel Battalion coming out in a month or so. I found these at Amazon.

It is a bug on the amazon site system, a joke or the guys selling this game are not from this planet.

Its an average game, but the controller makes it friggin badass.

I dropped $200 on mine, and am pleased with it.

Anybody dropping $1K on this game is just stupid. Especially when you can order it direct from Capcom for still only $200!

Nah, those are for real. Those are Zshops sellers. Amazon lets sellers set their own prices on zshops...believe it or not, some people REALLY are that dumb! Most of the stuff on zshops is WAY WAY WAY overpriced, but it sells. Weird but true.

Ugh I HATE AMAZON zshops...

Main reason? There is a mom & pop game store around 20 mins away with a TON of NES,GEN,SNES games. I've found a few things... but they set all their prices to amazon.

Lady: "Well that's what its going for these days"

Me: "Err... Amazon overprices this stuff, considering this is just average joe putting a price on his goods"

I guess I could wait til the only prices on the stuff are the really cheap sellers then go back and ask her to do a price check... UGH

Wow...that is a crazy price. I wish I had that game...I would love to try it with that crazy controller. Oh well, maybe someday.

but I think everyone will agree that this will become a sought after collectible. I know I'll be kicking myself 5 years down the line when it is selling for those prices.

Fortunately, my friend is sitting on one for me until I breakdown and get a crackbox (and a job). This is one of those games I am not going to miss out on.

@_@ :eek 2: @_@

Just checked the Canadian shipping from Capcom's website, and it comes out to an incredible $110, adding about 50% to the price. Not to mention the duties...

When Steel Battalion: Line of Contact releases and the Xbox Live mecha mayhem materializes (Mechassault? Meh!), all of you naysayers will be whimpering about how stupid you were not to buy SB in the first place, BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE JUST THAT AUSUM.

*puts down fanboy megaphone*

On topic though, yeah, it would seem pretty silly to pay 3-5 times the preorder price for an item just to get it two months earlier. But hey, didn't people do just that for the PS2?

Yeah Steel Battalions is worth every penny. No other game like it ever. Best way I can describe it is you experience it, not just play it. Oh and for anyone who missed out the first time, the original set - yes including the controller - is being released again. Should be able to order it from Gamestop or EB or if you are lazy, Capcom has it on their site.

I'm going to defend Amazon here and say I buy and sell 95% of my stuff on their marketplace. Why? Well, it's a lot easier, quicker, and less hassle then EBay, and Amazon has lower fees. Plus you get shipping costs built in, and can pick your shipping option in most cases. I've sold some stuff on there for some MAJOR money, and also gotten some very nice deals, better then I could ever get at EBay or anywhere else.

I went into Gamestop today to pre-order the joystick/game bundle but they didn't know the SKU number or any details about it. Told me to call back in couple days.

If EB is taking pre-orders, I'm giving them my business instead. No way I'm going to miss out on Steel Battalion this time around.

Holy Shit..No way..That's crazy...

AS I wrote at another site...
.................................................. ............................................
..(Basically I hate when people can't get things they want because companies only make limited supplies)

I may be listing a few of the original Steel Battalion controller sets on Ebay soon.
Sealed,New In Box..
When the originals came out my uncle bought a bulk order of these to resell in the future and still has 10 to 12 left..
He got sick so we never had the chance to sell the remainder..though he's ok now..(Recovering from a removed Brain Tumor)

I'm only writing this because if it's a bitch to get this new one I may have some to sell....If I do list them, that will be next month or in March and I'll post when I do(here)..Basically I think I'll be listing when the game comes out..at my uncles wishes.

(((If the Profit margin in not enough then I won't even bother listing them, now))Though I'm not expecting a crazy profit margin, but I don't want to take a loss either..)Otherwise I'll tell him to keep them for rarity..and sell them later in time..

I don't know what quantity Capcom is putting out..&.I don't know what will be on Ebay/in stores etc... also there may be scammers trying crap out there and I don't mess around/if you've bought stuff from me on Ebay then you know how I am......
I will take pictures of all that I have to sell when they are brought here..
I take particular pictures of your item/package,add insurance,Delivery Confirmation and Ship Priority Mail..and send all the pictures and scans to the buyer in an Email
Though this may be a UPS shipped item..due to weight..I'll know before then.

I won't lie and say he's not looking for profit either that's why they are going on Ebay..and I won't say I have them until they are here, anything could happen between now and then..
Honestly,I'm really not looking forward to shipping those big boxes that will have to be packed in another big box but I will pack them real well and ship them out fast..
I ship stuff every other day..So I have plenty of packing supplies on hand.

I still have two myself..one I have out and one is still sealed.

I think the game is awesome..I'm very much used to the controller..
The new game I think will be the one that'll finally make me set up my Xbox live kit..

From what I can gather:

The 2nd SB game will not come with a controller. It will require the original game's controller.

EB is taking pre-orders on the *original* one for a limited time as Capcom will be re-releasing SB 1 to help those who missed out the first time around. $20 deposit guarantees the game which will be $199.99 at purchase point (minus whatever your deposit on it is). If I recall the last time, they're pretty much only shipping pre-orders (due to the thing's huge size...one game per carton @_@), so get them while you can. Walk-in copies will be scarce.

I already have the first one. It IS a fun game, but I hope to god they fixed the "If you die we erase your game save" feature.

Actually, I remember reading somewhere that Capcom was bundling the original SB, LoC, and the controller together.

I don't remember where I heard that, but it kinda makes sense.

I am a huge Mech fan. And to the average game player this game would seem overwhelming to play at first. The controls can be a bit complex,
but after a few missions you become one with the giant contraption.
I cant wait for it to hit XBOX live. It is the reason I will be getting XBOX live !
I am glad this a pretty much a pre order only thing because I want it to be a modern day rare ;) If they do release the controller with the new game I hope it is slightly different from the first :D

Nope. They made it even more severe. In the LOC beta you could lose your stuff by failing to eject in free mission.

Apparently Capcom had had that SB/LOC/controller bundle deal up on their web site for a brief time, but then reconsidered and decided that they would be (1) re-releasing the original SB/controller bundle for $200, and (2) selling LOC as game-only for $50. No threefer bundle. In other words, please deposit 0.25 ... thousand!

At least, that's the story today. Who knows what tomorrow may bring?
