What the? I just saw the opening credits to Stingray, that TV programme with puppets.
It's filmed in Videocolor [sic] and... Supermarionation. Eh?! Super Mario Nation? Someone explain it NOW!
Or your best witty comments, whatever.

I don't feel like being witty today, so I'll come right out and tell you the truth. Supermarionation was a copyrighted term invented by the creators of Thunderbirds are Go! that's used to describe their own particular style of puppetry. When you break it down, the term basically means "advanced marionette manipulation".
Back when the Thunderbirds Are Go! game was (inexplicably) released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Chris Bieniek of Video Games and Computer Entertainment joked, "it's about time supermarionation was brought to the Super Mario Nation!"

Damn, I was hoping to hear about some easter egg stuff at least.
You know, like Luigi on strings or something. :-)

Wow, that's rather cool. (Yeah, I've read about the Thunderbirds, but no way I would've made that connection).
