Ok..it's not the weekend yet, but I HAD to post this.

I went down to the local liquidation store that gets all kinds of seconds from other stores' clearance, etc., and they had a bag sale. $1.00 per bag for as much as you can stuff in. Lo and behold, there were brand spanking new PC games there! A big pile of Rage of Mages for PC and Shogo: Mobile Armor Division for PC! I immediatelly stuffed every single PC game there into one big bag and bought them ALL for $1.00!

Speaking of which....I'm selling em off DIRT cheap...$5.00 each + shipping. PM me if you're interested! Shogo especially is one of my favorite PC shooters, ad I of course kept one of each for myself :)

For $20CDN today-
a complete ColecoVision
with 11 commons

and...
Burgertime
Buck Rogers and the Planet of Zoom
Bump N Jump
Miner 2049er black/white label
Frogger
BC II Grog's Revenge
Antarctic Adventure
Keystone Kapers
Squish 'em Sam

All in good to fair, some of the commons were new to me, and all of the uncommon/rare's were new to me.

Also in the box 7 Atari 2600 commons, and a 2600 stick.

And , in an ancient hardware/video store in my neighbourhood, in the back room, 86 unpicked over NES and SNES titles (very few sports). No doubt some rare's. Too many to be sure. He wants $340 firm! Whole lot only. That's only $3.85 per title, and many have the boxes and instructions set aside in another box. It's still too rich for me, but they aren't branded. Arrrgh!

It's fall, and this hardware store is filled to the rafters with old stock, and at least 30+ bicycles which ARE NOT on "sale". The store is a third of the size of a 7-11. An old Mom and Pop. Absolutely none of these games are displayed as for rent or for sale, and live exclusively in the back room. The guy who runs it is only 45 or 50. I'm guessing the dolt inherited the place. He doesn't have a clue how to run it .

I *rarely* post in this thread, because some of the deals I do and things I "find" are insanity. 3 weeks ago, "found" the rarest video game of all time, mint in box... Video Life.

OK this week I purchased five Atari 2600 games that I did not own before. 4 of the 5 are PAL and are only available in PAL format but worth something, at least to me because they're ONLY available in PAL format:

Mangia (finally!)
Pharoah's Curse
Nuts
S.O.S.
(those last three being "TechnoVision" releases, very difficult to find even in Europe)

... and the best 'o the bunch:

Lochjaw (boxed complete)

Lochjaw was the original Apollo release of Shark Attack, it was withdrawn from retail shelves because of a possible trademark infringement. Very few of these were made. A bonus is that the game is ever-so-slightly different, so it's not just a label variation:

So... there's my weekend "finds".

Last week I picked up Zelda 2: Adventures of Link for NES for .99. This week the same store had it boxed for the same price, so I upgraded. :)

Also got Touchdown Fever for NES @ .99 CDN.

And, stopped into toys'r'us to buy my wife a discman (sale at 19.95, incidently they were sold out) and ALL of their PS2 Greatest Hits games were priced down to 14.95 CDN (Thats just under 10 bucks american) Bought THPS3 and ATV Offroad Fury. Then I remember that Future Shop (Owned by Best Buy) does price matching + 10%, so I got each of them for 13.50 CDN and returned the others to Toys'r'Us.

So I got 2 PS2 games for $20 US.

Going to the flea market tomorrow (it's thanksgiving up here near the north pole eh) We'll see what I find.

Well, I went back to the flee this morning as the guy who sold me all the Atari stuff said that he had some more stuff in storage and would bring it down. He sold me everything else for $25 which included:

2 6 switch VGS stored nice
another 4 switch woodgrain
and a 7800 that looks 10x better then the one I just got (no offence to the guy who sold that 7800 to me :D )

and a big box of controllers and power supplies that includes:
another 7800 PSU
2x 5200 PsU's
5x 2600 PSU's

3 diiferent types of wico sticks
2x 7800 "pro line" *snicker* sticks
2x 5200 jellosticks
and probably 10 sets of paddles and atari sticks.. hard to tell, in a box christmas light style. 2 of the paddles say "driving" and have a picture of a car.

Well I rarely get a chance to hunt for stuff in the wild anymore, like I use to :( , but I do stop in the pawn shops and used games stores every week or two. :)
This is what I bought over the past week, the most I paid for any of the psx games was $8. The Nes games were $2-3 each and I paid $20 for Mega Man X2. probably overpaid on it, but I was in a spending mood that day, I guess. :o

PSX:
Ace Combat 3
Civilization II
Breath Of Fire III
Wipeout XL
R-Types
Tales Of Destiny
Syphon Filter 2
RPG Maker

SNES:
Mega Man X2

NES:
Star Force
Double Dragon
Double Dragon II
Super C
Donkey Kong Jr. Math

At the thrift store this weekend I got: Hoops, M.U.S.C.L.E., Blades of Steel, NFL Football, Platoon, and Gotcha! for the NES for .99 cents each and the Black Bass for $1.91. Nothing rare really, but they were titles that I needed and a buck for an NES game is a good price (unless it's SMB). Also, I got Taz-Mania and Math Blasters for Genesis for $1.91 each.

Mars Matrix and Gunbird 2 - 12 bucks each
I-Spy - 6.40
Wave Race 64 - 12 complete

I picked up AFD Storm for 42, also, so I'm gonna sell that one to pay for most of the rest, which is good.

Well, I got Mega Man - The Wily Wars through the post today, which I 'found' on ebay. One of the few real bargains I have found on ebay. I got it for about $25 including postage from Germany. Boxed, but no manual. Still, the price that game is fetching at the moment, I am pretty pleased! I would say it is one of the hardest - if not the hardest - PAL Megadrive game to get. I know Alien Soldier goes for a lot, but it really isn't that rare . . . especially since there is one guy on ebay UK who obviously has a whole stack of them - he usually has one up every month or so. However I think I have only ever seen Mega Man come up two or three times in the last four years.

So I am happy!

I picked up Video Vermin for Vic-20 today at Value Village for 2.99 CDN. I spent part of the afternoon looking for ANY video game to purchase because the flea market was dead today (it was pouring rain by the time I made it out). I've never really taken much note of the Vic-20 games that show up semi-regularly, however, because of my desperation to find SOMETHING, I picked it up.

Looking in the guide, I guess it was a pretty good find, and a great way to start collecting for VIC-20. Or maybe I'll trade it...
