Pcaewin Problems

I just downloaded pcaewin, and I've been having some problems with it. Everytime I try to boot the program I get an error message that says pcaewin.exe has to shut down because of an error. The dl I got was from this site, so I don't think it's a bad app. I'm running a PIV 2.4 with win xp pro.

I don't use pcaewin at all, but does it have a log file that might give a clue what's going wrong? Maybe it's logging something in event viewer?

Bah. I haven't used pcaewin for ages because of this problem. It did it to me in Win2k as well. Try others like Cyberstella or Mess. Cyberstella doesn't sound right, and Mess only supports 4k roms. What we really need is a good Gui'd 2600 emulator.

Another thought, have you tried the compatibnility modes at all?
