Can it be done? I got one of these for the PS1 a while back, but I don't have the box. I do have the 2 disks that came with it. I know this is a discontinued Interact product, but I'm hoping I can make it work. And no, I'm not installing Windows 98 just for that...

Yup, mine works just fine. You can still find the drivers online in case you need them.

If for some reason the official software doesn't work, you can download a program called PSXGE. I remember liking that program a lot more as it had extra features, and was better at managing single game saves rather than entire memory card dumps.

I can't get my Dexdrive to start up in XP. Loaded the software, even have PSXGE. Keeps telling me Dexdrive isn't on a COM port properly, when I know its on right!

I use Dexter as the software for my Dexdrive and it works fine with XP.

Download it from here: http://www.neillcorlett.com/dexter/

Looks great, but doesn't help if Dexdrive won't turn on and is somehow not reading from COM 1 no matter what. *sighs*

Have you used that Comport for anything under XP? Sounds like a driver/IRQ type issue.

Anyone know if the N64 DexDrive can work easily on XP? I have one sitting here that I haven't setup because of the intimidating 1998 floppies.
