Cheap bin on a neo geo, scam?

Ya it's definitely a possibility. I've found some good bins on ebay before. I'm very tempted to buy the neo geo, but I just can't justify spending $125 on such a risk. Though I have a friend who's wanting to get rid of his neo geo and about 20 games anyways, he said he'd sell the lot to me cheap. The seller also has a bin on a panasonic gamecube for something like $150. Does he not know the value of anything? I'm thinking it's a scam, but if anyone decides to take the risk I'd like to know whether it was legite or not.

Not necissarily a scam, he may not even know the value, it may have belonged to a friend, or he may have stole it, and is trying to sell it.

What i usually do in these kind of situations is sending a message to the seller asking him for a phone number i can call, or asking him to drop me a call. You can usually make a better decision after speaking to the seller....

thats how i got my sega cdx plus a toejam and earl 1 for just 60 US!!! (about a month ago on ebay) :)

No it wasn't me. I wish I knew who it was though. Talking to the seller would probably help. It could be completely legitamite, I just think it seems very risky being that the guy was selling 3 rare items with very low bins and he has 0 feedback plus he doesn't except paypal. No paypal means no protection ya know. $60 for a cdx isn't bad at all. I got mine by trading my friend a ps2 I had gotten for $40 for it. I was thinking about buying the neo geo, but I have a friend that's going to sell me his with about 20 games for cheap.

This seller is from the same place as the seller in mrhaboobi's "DON"T BID ON THIS" thread. Harrisburg PA. Probably the same guy who ripped him off.
