Virtaul Boy, the org Gameboy in a real close second
REALLY tough choice between the NES and SNES, but I had to go with the classic. The NES was pretty much the first system I ever owned (I had an atari 2600, but I don't count that because it broke when I was 4 and I didn't really get a chance to play it).
I'll always remember playing contra and double dragon with my brother, and of course the dragon warriors. I still go back and play this stuff from time to time.

What a cool thread for me as a Nintendo fanboy. :D
My favourite Nintendo game machine would be the Super Nintendo.
There are so many great RPGs on that console (I'm trying to collect them all).
When it goes for looks, then the Japanese Famicom has my vote. :)
Basically I like them all, though.
I still have to get a Virtual Boy, which would complete my Nintendo collection for the time being.

I have to say the SNES. So many memories playing that system. From conquering Mario to playing Mario Kart all night long with friends. Also the Mortal Kombat series, they were so much different than all the other games at the time. My cousin and I would stay up all night trying to be those games, fun fun times. SNES all the way!

I'd like to say the SNES was my favorite Nintendo system because of it's huge RPG library but it will have to take 2nd place to the NES. The ratio of NES to SNES games is 3 to 1 in my game library. I've played the living crap out of my NES, and it shows, that is w/o a doubt the most beat up console in my collection. So the NES wins hands down.

NES, by a hair. The SNES is right behind it though. I just have too many great gaming times from the NES. I think the SNES is a better system, but the NES offers so much. Especially for that period of time. It had a great time span as consoles go. It had a great depth and variety of games as well as peripherals (sure some were useless, but hey). That system is terrific. Both the SNES and NES run laps around the N64 and Gamecube IMO. I would keep either SNES or NES before either of the others anytime, hands down.

the SNES is just probably A TAD better then the NES. So I voted for that.

I voted for the NES. The reason that I voted for the NES is because it was the first system that I ever played. So for me the NES holds many memories that cannot be replaced with any other system. All of Nintendo's systems are great, but the NES is my favorite! \^_^/

I love the NES with all my heart and I think I always will. I got it back in 89 with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. I remember cracking open the game and sticking it in. Turning on the power and running forward only to be killed by a goomba second later.
3 years later I got my SNES with Zelda and Mario's Time Machine.(Heh...What a game) I remember wondering what on earth someone would do with all the buttons they had on that controller.
(P.S. I voted Virtual Boy, hehe.)

I'd like the poll updated to include the GBM and, of course, the mighty DS! For me I'd change my vote to the DS. It is a truly different (and successful) way to play games. The first really different way to play games since Nintendo brought the analogue stick to the masses...
