Here's an update of what I still have that I plan to keep:
Playstation (model 1 w/ Gameshark port & soundscope) - for nostalgia only; to be used exclusively on my ex stepdad's old color monitor on which I first experienced the Playstation. [got a PS-X-Change 2 swap disc]
main gaming systems:
NES (model 1) [got a Powerpak]
Genesis (model 2) [got an Everdrive which also allows me to play Master System]
SNES (model 1) [got a Powerpak] [got a Super Game Boy & 64MB USB Smart Card for Game Boy]
Saturn [modded]
PS One [modded]
Nintendo 64 (expansion pak'd) [got an Everdrive]
Dreamcast [revision that plays backups]
Playstation 2 (model 1) [modded]
Xbox [modded]
Gamecube (w/ Game Boy Player attached)
Wii (w/ Gamecube BC) [got Homebrew Channel]
PS3 60GB
Xbox 360 Elite
Game Boy Advance SP [got an EZ Flash IV]
Nintendo DS (original model) [got an R4i]
PSP 1000 [got CFW]
Nintendo 3DS
So far my only systems on the above list that aren't being taken crazy advantage of are Xbox 360, PS3 & 3DS. They'll be on the market for a while so I'm going to be nice to them.
Systems I am trying to get rid of or trade up for a different model:
Game Gear (Sega model) [want Majesco model + Everdrive & full color TV out mod]
Sega Nomad [not necessary anymore; might just keep if I can't get what I paid for it]
Magnavox CD-i 450 [want whatever model plays backups, my guess is the bulky original Philips model?]
Playstation 2 (Slim) [might be sold on ebay in a few hours if I'm lucky. Oh the times we had together. I'll miss you..., but sorry you've been made obsolete by your long lost, fat, modded cousin]
Playstation (model 1) (modchipped for USA/Japan but doesn't play burned games) [Surpassed by my PS One with a more liberal modchip]
Systems I used to have that would really be great to re-buy:
3DO (FZ-10) [region free!]
Neo Geo CD [region free!]
Sega CD (model 2) [region free!]
TurboDuo - might get PC Engine Duo-R instead for better durability [region free cds!; Everdrive available!]
Emerson Arcadia 2001 [I might as well since I bought a custom Multicart with every game for the system on it]
Anything else on my old list I can find a flash cart / large multicart for and get cheap.
Neo Geo AES would be the good one to get again and bother with legitimately just because the games and system will probably always retain a steady value. It might be an interesting new experience to go the MVS route next time instead though.
Systems I haven't had yet that I would like to try:
Commodore Amiga
Neo Geo MVS (full cabinet)
N-Gage (just to see how different X-Men Legends plays on it since I managed to pick up the game cheap & there appears to be no emulator yet)
PS Vita
Wii U

Retro Relived, The Place Near My House Has A LOT Of Consoles!

06-03-2019, 05:01 PM
I don't have a ton of space (live in a shared apartment, so just have one room basically), so I collect only enough to play what I want, rather than keep everything. here's what I've got:
Consoles:
- Famicom
- Nintendo 64
- Gamecube
- Wii U 8GB
- Playstation 2 (fat)
- Playstation 3 (slim)
Handheld:
- Sega Game Gear
- Gameboy Advance
- DS Lite
- New 3DS (og size, not xl)
- Playstation Vita (og)
I also have a PC and an Android. I plan on getting a bit more platforms in the future (SNES or SFC, PC-Engine, Genesis, Dreamcast, and WonderSwan), but that'll take me awhile probably, haha.

That's all of it also the sms is long gone for being sold off.For the gamecube the same thing to i got rid of it in 2017.I still have a wii so i can play gc games that way and for gba that's what the retro freak is for. Many years ago it was for me re-buying consoles that i own before such as the famicom, genesis and super famicom.Side note thank goodness for flash carts such as the everdrive x5 and SD2SNES,allow me to play most of what i want on genesis and sfc again without worrying about having a huge collection.

I have a pretty small collection, since for me even a very good deal on a console is a major decision and investment and I stick to things that I actually want to play.
SNES
Playstation 2 slim
Playstation 3 super slim
Xbox 360 (currently borked, considering replacement)
Wii (inactive, rather have a GC)
Game Boy Advance SP
If I was to add to the family it'd be a PS4 or a 3DS. JRPG addiction isn't a problem, its a way of life.
