Official cases with original covers some have instructions some don't.
15-20% sports titles. You have both the rare and the common.
Would you sell em as is? Try to match em up with carts and sell em? Trade em away?
???

I'd take my list of games that I need boxes for (about 80-90), take the boxes I need, and sell them to me at $1.25 a pop, and you can keep the manuals if you want. It's a very good plan.
And I'm quite serious. :D

I would build a fort and store all my games there! Heck you could make a game store out of genesis boxes! Oh, you are serious? I would sell them on the bay....lots of work, but with that many boxes it will be nothing but work anyways. I am interested in some, but I would want some names and that is ALOT of work!

I can only imagine what a nightmare it would be to pick through 3500 units and sell them to individuals here. That said I'd probably like to get a couple of boxes myself... :D
Lump them in lots of 50 or 100, with a ratio of sports to regular that would make the pile appealing but help get rid of the sports boxes. List them on ebay at some blowout BIN that looks appealing, immediate payment required maybe. I'd streamline the whole thing by getting boxes that fit the exact number of each lot that you were selling too, make UPS come and pick it up with ground shipping. You'd only have to do this about.. ..35 times. :D
Good luck and by the way WHERE IN THE WORLD IS EVERYONE GETTING SO MANY GENNY BOXES?

Yeah, heck, Id buy some too. I got a lot of loose Genny games that I dont even like having because the simple fact that there loose. Looks like you should set a price, have people list what they want, and then sell em and make crazy money! Even though it would be a lot of trouble.
But make a game out of it, dump ALL the boxes into a completely empty room in a pile...and when people want the boxes...get naked and dive in the pile to find them! Wait....scratch that idea.

Hey, I'll take some as well. I have so many Genesis carts that are dying for boxes and manuals.

I could certainly use some as well

I could use around 40-50 manuals and around 15 boxes. If you want a list I could PM you one.

I could use about 20-50 certain boxes and/or instructions. If you are willing, send me a PM, and I will gladly get you a list. Thanks so much (ahead of time)!

Short answer is..... there is a demand for them. Weather you want to accept want lists.. make an individual list.. or sell em in lots on ebay, they'll sell.

do you guys know how long it would take him to sort through and find you guys specific boxes? and if you only buy 10 thats only $20 at $2 each.
I don't know the time vs. profit might not make it worthwhile.
What I would do would pull out all the rarer boxes and toss those aside and sit on them till you can match up a complete game(which shouldn't be hard for you) and wait for the genny market to kick in.
THEN dump all the sports and crappy game boxes in lots of 50 to take care of the purchsing cost and clear out some boxes.

Let me speak from experience here guys, 3500 empty boxes takes up a hell of a lot of room and if Adam doesn't have them sorted or have the room to sort them all, it would take him forever to go through specific want lists. I sorted out all of my genesis stuff (which is much more than 3500 games) and that takes up nearly 3 rooms in my basement, including the floor and tables. It would be easy to do want lists if they are sorted, but I am betting they are not.
If you want to make a deal for all of them Adam, let me know, I know I could use at least 1000 empty boxes if not more, but I might buy them all if the price is right. Maybe I can get a group of buyers together for the whole works? Is that possible?? Drop me a PM and we can talk some more.

Yes, we do, but the simple fact here is people want them...and are willing to buy them. So he has a choice...work a little bit and make some good money (cause people here are wanting 50+ boxes each it looks like), work the same amount of time or more and sell them on eBay in lots, sit on them and do nothing making no money and taking up lots of space, or throw them away.
I know how much trouble it would be...but I know I'd search through them and sell them at a buck a piece if the demand was high! hell, sell 100, make 100.00! Not hard to do here. Someone mentioned 2.00 each per box...that is too much considering that sports titles and lots of other non-sports titles don't even sell for that including the game itself

You know this would be pretty funny...
Take about 300 boxes up to Gamestop on Feb. 21st, the day before they stop taking them in for good. The looks on the employees' faces would be priceless. Of course, once they go and look in the boxes, you can just say 'Oops, I guess I left the game at home' or someother silly comment.
I'd seriously consider doing thatif I were in your poisition. LOL

Well I dunno what to do so I guess I just sit on them until I figure it out. Thanks for the ideas if I ever feel the need to sort them and create a list I'll let you know. I guess there are people here that can use a few.
They are out of the way for now and I doubt they will depreciate past the point I paid for them so for now I'll leave em be.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't also get 1100 SNES and 400-500 gboy at the same time. Its gunna be some time before I'm prepared to inventory and sell them. Still its fun to dig through.
I had no idea what I was going to do with them when I bought them but I just can't pass up a deal. Buy it now and worry about it later thats what I say.

You could just grab a random hundred or so and sell them that way. Let people pick through those.

I know I've got lots of loose Genny and SNES carts that could use a home :)
I used to throw away boxes when I was a child. O, what a fool I was.

I'd also be interested! Let us know when you're ready!
Do the boxes have the inserts? Or just some with Manuals? I'd need the boxes with inserts over manuals.

I'm willing to bet 50-100 and even 200, unsorted unkown lots would sell on eBay.
200 random genny boxes, some many have manuals, around 15% sports.
Heck, I'd buy a few. That would make it SUPER easy for ya.
