DP Game Review Contest Winners Announced

well, we've finally come to a decision. There were 30 entries and 10 of them were very close in the voting! An excellent job all 'round, thanks for playing if you did. And if you didn't... for shame!

I'll post the prizes tomorrow, for now I just wanted to announce the winners and put their entries on display for ya. The judges were TOUGH, and believe me, had no problem scoring decent game reviews LOW if they didn't make them laugh.

You guys are pretty brave asking for this info, but if it helps you gauge it better for next time, so be it.

@Shinobiman: you were tied for last with 3 other entries. It's a great review, and one I'd be happy to put on the DP site - but it was being judged for laughs only. Seemed more like a magazine review, all serious and whatnot.

I tried to give clues. Actually I thought I beat the horse dead with "it doesnt have to be a good review, just funny", bit. Read the silliness above and if and when we do this again - that's the formula. Jeff's entry didn't even talk about the game!

I understand now DP, but when a contest is about writing a game review... even if the details inside state it needs to be funny, doesn't it also have to be a review of the game? That's the thing that threw me off a bit. Oh well, I'm not that bothered by it... it was just a misunderstanding. I do look forward to the next contest though. Well, I suppose I wasn't expecting my thrown-together materials to do very well. I was in a hurry, unfortunately. Let this be a lesson: don't find out about contests at the last minute...

As long as people are asking, though, could you just tell me if I was either near the top or right at the bottom? Specifics are not necessary.
