Alright, here is my story.

I ordered a Super Famicom (JPN SNES) and the guy I got it from told me that it was fully compatible with American cables.

I went to the store to buy the AC adapter for it, since I already had the AV cables.

When I recieved it today, I found that it only has DC out. Is there anyway to play it now?

I am pissed because the guy lied to me, and I am pretty sure that you can't run DC out of an american outlet.

Does anyone here own a SFC and know how to hook it up?

all questions are answered in due course, and theres always a second opinion

now then, i took the time to dig out my superfami ps for ya-

input- ac100v(50/60Hz)
unknown 18VA
output dc10V 850mA
(+)---------(.-------(-)

so the polarity and output are the same as the snes ps, i'm not the final word on this (that might be FAbombjoy) but i'd think you can use it.

Wouldn't you need a step-down converter..?

Impatient fellow! Only an hour and a half have passed. A lot of us are at work at this time, you know!

Give it some time, someone will be able to answer you. But this isn't an Online Videogame Help Desk. Our Superfamicom expects may be elsewhere occupied...

That said, welcome to Digital Press! When you have a mo', please introduce yourself at the Introduce Yourself thread in this Forum! Thanks!

Does the wire that you mentioned work with American Outlets?
