I've gotten into multiplayer games like Half-Life and Unreal Tournament recently. My classmates and I've been playing HL and UT over the LAN in our classroom and having a blast with it. Just sucks trying to use the keyboard though.lol That and I want to get back to playing Half-Life, but I lost all my saved game files somewhere. :(

Anyone else have multiplayer games they play with friends and how's UT for Dreamcast, is it like the PC version?

Get UT2003, huge improvement over UT. And actually 2k4 will be out soon too i think.

I play UT2k3 and sometimes Delta Force online for the PC. No LAN games though, just regular online mostly against people I don't know. I plan on getting into Battlefield 1942 online soon too.

I also play a lot of Crimson Skies for xbox online.

What do you mean it sucks using the keyboard? IMO, keyboard and mouse is by far the best setup for FPS games.

It's not what you meant, but I've actually been playing a lot of Warlords recently.

Sucks to use a keyboard?????????????

Are you serious??

The best way to play FPS such as HL and UT is with a keyboard and mouse. It is way more accurate than a gamepad. Set up the controllers in these games so you can look around with the mouse and fire with the mouse button 1 alternate fire with mouse button 2 and scroll weapons with the wheel and jump when the wheel is pushed in..

set the "w" key as forward, "s" as back, "a" as strafe left, "d" as strafe right, use "q,e,r, and c" for things such as crouch, reload, and action...

this is the best possible way to pay a FPS

I disagree, but only slightly. Left handed mouse, right hand on the number pad, and right thumb on the arrow keys for jump, etc. I find that gives the best amount of control. And no, I'm not left handed. It took a little while to master. ;-)

Yea, my way is basically the same, just hands are switched. I could never use a mouse with my left hand, but if that is what you are used to or if you normally use lefty mouse then thats the way to go.

We'd play a later verison on UT if one of us had a copy, or had a burned copy..we kinda take what we can get there. I think I'm just too used to joypads for playing video games, that's why I'm akward with the keyboard and mouse (that and being left handed my mouse is on the right side of my desk near the directional keys).
