I've recently decided to start making custom videogame posters for myself, and I was thinking that there are probably other people that on this site that would like them to, but might not have the means to make them. So I've decided to use people from this site as test subjects. I will be giving away two custom posters, one 11x17, and one 20x30 for free to the first two people that email me with their request. Now bear in mind that this is just a test and the posters may not turn out as expected, but, if everthing does turn out kosher I will be glad to make them for other people at cost. Also if things work out, since I got the idea form digitalpress, he will get a free poster of any size up to the max I can print, if he wants it.
All you have to do is be one of the first two to email me with interest at slipstation@yahoo.com and tell me what you want on the poster. Also if possible please include some images, or links to where I can the images you want because I may not have them.

p.s. please send me an idea for both the 11x17 and 20x30 sizes.

Scott

cool, thanks for the replies! Now that I have my two people I will get to work and see how it turns out. So here's the next step. If things work out, I'll start making them for other people at a price. But don't be afraid, I work cheap. For each poster of any size I will only charge you $2.00 plus cost of material and shipping, also if you want more than one poster, or a big one that has to be done in sections, it will only be an additional $1.00 per poster section. So basically it would be about $6.00 for one 11x17 7 for two 8 for three and so on. Bigger than 11x17 I still have to calculate the price cause the place I go to charges by the foot after that, but It's still very cheap.
Also to Nate to give you an idea of price if you wanted that illustraited enemy guide, I would probalby have it printed on three 11x17 sheets which would cost about $10.00 total with shipping.

Depending on how they turn out, that's a really reasonable price! :) I'm in Canada, so if shipping is a bit extra, I'll front you the money ok?

Can't wait to see which one you pick and how it comes out!

Nate, since you were the first to email me you get the large poster, and the image I picked was the last cadillacs and dinosaurs ad from the list you sent me. I picked it cause It was already huge, and I was able enlarge it to 20x26 with out a problem.

A quick bit of trivia here: The original name for the comic was "Xenozoic Tales" and was published by "Kitchen Sink Press". Kind of an interesting arcade game, though.

Very true. 14 issues of Xenozoic tales were printed over a span of about 5 years or so. All written and drawn by Marc Shultz......one of the most amazing artists EVER. I have most of the comics myself (still missing some..they're hard to find...and the originals are B&W), as well as the marquee for the arcade game, a signed laminated color poster, t-shirt (too small! :(), and an art collection limited to 300 copies! I'm a BIG fan of Xenozoic tales. I even have a couple of signed graphic novels, the music CD by Mr. Shultz, the cartoons on VHS, the BOXED original PC game, and some other stuff too. The only thing I'm missing is the arcade game itself, and the artwork for it (I doubt I'll find a dedicated cab).

In case you're wondering, the title was changed to Cadillacs & Dinosaurs for the cartoon, then was adopted by the Capcom game, and the PC/Sega CD game, and finally, the original issues of Xenozoic Tales were reprinted by Topps as Cadillacs & Dinosaurs. The Topps reprints were color too. The first appearance of the characters was in Death Rattle #8 I beileve :) Now THAT is enough trivia for ANYONE! :D The only things I've avoided buying were a few super limited items, and the Hanna Dundee resin statue.

The comic has a cult following..by me. I don't think too many others :D

Topps?!? Hmmm... the reprints that I have were under Marvel's Epic imprint like this one: http://www.hakushouse.com/images/Comix/P5130009.JPG
I may have to look around a bit more and see if I can get a look at a Topps one :D

Any idea what the totals for each size will end up being? Will you post them here at some point for interested people?

Yes, I will post accurate poster prices here. But first I want to make the test prints, I would hate to go the full nine and start posting prices and taking orders, only to find out that it's not going to work out the way I expected and have to let everyone down. I plan to print the tests this week, so I should have all the info posted by the end of the week.

thanks

Yup, Topps. Epic did a partial reprint of the series (forgot that one) but Topps reprinted the whole run, I'm pretty sure.

I think that's most all of the Topps issues. I forgot there's also an RPG rulebook and Kay-Bee Toys had a one-shot issue (which I have) and there was a complete toy line for the cartoon too.
