I just finished Stage 8-6 of the NES version of Parasol Stars (PAL) and I got the "enter your initials" screen. The manual states that there may be worlds that can be unlocked beyond Stage 8. Anyone have a clue how to get into them? This game has so much random shit that you must have to get lucky to stumble upon the "key" or whatever it is to advance farther.

Yeah, but gamefaqs only has hints for the Amiga version. Somebody on another board did point out that you need to collect 3 Star Miracle Icons in a row. I managed to do this and it unlocked a key at the end of Stage 8-6 which got me into Stage 9. I played through Stage 9, then Stage 10 and the boss of Stage 10 went down pretty easy. The cheesy ending then played out, leaving me wonder if I missed out on something to get the "good" ending. You basically view some of the enemies from the game moving across a patch of green, then go to the high scorers screen to enter initials, then back to the title screen. I figured out the HEX address to select a starting level and it seems like 10-5 is indeed the last level of the game. Still doesn't feel right though.
