As some may have noticed in statement in my other posts, I've recently aquired a 64 and am now regretting not getting into it when it was new. In fact, I can say I never even TOUCHED a 64 untill just a month or so ago. I know about the ram expansion on the top, but there's a port on the bottom, was that ever utilized? If not, were there ever any talks or even rumors as to something that was going to use it?

I think it's for the disk drive which was only released in Japan (big surprise).

I have to comment on that site, 64dd.net.

They do a nice job, but the fact that they call it the Disc Drive (as opposed to Disk, with a K, as all CD type media = discs, while floppies/Zip Disks = disks) has me wondering. That site wears thin quite fast...I wonder why they don't have any information on RandNet, for instance.

Dude the N64 blows! Thats just my opinion though. How could you like that controller? In my opinion its the worst Nintendo system.

I used to think that to. When I was younger, I loved the damn thing. With the now-ending $15-for-a-used-N64 sale at EB, I decided to pick one up again. Wow. It's fun to play some games that I'd already played, but was missing over a 5-year span.

I believe that the GameCube fits that description better.

Alex Kidd - Good job on picking up an N64! A truly fine system with a huge library of must have titles.

Damn, if only that thing released the games on the unreleased list on that site, and then the 64DD was actually made for the US, then we could have EarthBound 3! And not only that, but EarthBound 3.5!! Also, Super Mario 64 2 and Super Mario RPG 2, plus three other Zelda games. This is a stupid question, but the 64DD, do you think it would have been the GameCube?

I have to agree that the N64 blows.

Not because of the games but because of the graphics. They're just so Damn Fuzzy. Seriously, I get a MAJOR headache playing most games for more than 20 minutes.

But it did have some of the best games ever. So when I need a N64 fix , I hook up a N64 pad to my USB adapter and play it on my computer at 1024*768 with enhanced Geforce Grafx . :D

No More Headaches !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish the DD had come out over here, even if only for a short time. I would have a better chance of finding one. Plus, I can't believe Mario Artist never came out here. Damn you, Nintendo! Will we ever get a modern Mario Paint?
