Almost 1 month into the new year, how's everyone's collections going so far?

Me, thanks to some trades I majorly jumped started my Atari 2600 Acticion cart collection as well as deciding to perhaps take up INTV and/or Lynx (depends on cash) and slowly working on manuals and boxes for other collections.

So far this year I've only bought 2 games, but I've already beat 2 and I'm nearing a third here. Prince of Persia is supposed to be short.

No big purchases planned this year, or any purchases for that matter. Just want to have some time to sit down with it all and chip my way through it.

going pretty good right now, decided to start a master system collection after i complete my dc collection

got some very rare dc games in trades or very cheap and my 32X collection is finally also getting some attention, hoping to complete that one this year too (except of Darxide)

I've only bought 5 games so far myself. I've gotten Qix Neo for the PS1, Mr. Do! and Total Carnage for the SNES and Silent Hill 3 and Jak II for the PS2. Not even a GameCube game so far...I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked! I actually have no other purchases planned for the immediate future, either.

I've been pretty active since Christmas... but that's probably because the holidays were pretty depressing for me this year. Overall, I've already purchased over 100 games for 5 different systems. Not too shabby, but I'm always wanting more. It's a sickness. @_@

Well, an import Saturn game or two, a couple of SNES games, and about 12 Neo Geo MVS games. Good start so far I'd say :D

about 25 games richer, mostly for the genesis. And in the next week, It'll probably be about 25 games richer again, as I won a lot of vis titles on ebay, and the seller threw in some more as no one wants them.

Snagged some more sega cards as upgrades to 100% my Sega Card collection, and a BIG box of Mark III stuff should be heading my way soon as well.

Finished Beyond Good and Evil, quarter/one third the way through FFX.

Picked up Blue Stinger and Project Justice for DC and a Megaman Bobblehead, dropped a pre-order on FF:CC. That might be all so far this year.

I actually trimmed my collection down a lot, first to make sure I could get a new place and then when I found out I didn't need to, my student loans caught up to me :(

I did however plug in the holes in my KoF MVS collection up to 98, getting some more SNES RPGs coming in shortly, and turning my collection from quantity to quality.

So far so very good, actually. Metal Slug X for the MVS, two prototypes (NES cart in the wild, Genesis cart in trade), and several random other treats for the Genesis, Dreamcast, and GBA. Not a bad start at all.

Thrifting 2004 started off with a bang....Chase the Chuckwagon .99 at Goodwill, followed by SMS Buster Douglas Boxing for $5 and 5200 Death Star Battle for $10 at a local game store the next day. I'm down to one cart left (excluding the hyper-rarities) for the NES (anyone got a spare Romance OT3K 2?) and I'm focused on getting alll the longbox Playstation titles in 2004. Best pickups so far this year, Psychic Detective and Romance OT3K 4...20 or so to go.

I also picked up a mess of cheap next-gen games at Circuit City, including the game that's taking up all of my playing time right now...Robot Alchemic Drive (RAD) for the PS2!....what a fresh, unique and (except for the really lame cutscenes) enjoyable game. If you like Japanese Monster movies, you'll love this game. 2004 is already shaping up to be a good gaming year.

The Master System alcove is growing steadily. I'll be past 210 once my recent eBay wins arrive, and hope to get within a handful of the 283 Euro games by the end of the year.

Still pondering what else to go for alongside/after my SMS collection - currently torn between MegaCD, Dreamcast or Megadrive. :hmm:

So far so good. I got some more NES games, as well as some Dreamcast games. Ive also started to play my games more thanks to my top loader, and am now going to go for longbox PS1 games as well.
(My local Gamestop has around 5 of them for $1.99-2.99 apiece.)

SO far this year for me has been not great, but ok.
Managed to pick up a few games for the snes, dreamcast, and am currently playing sonic heroes on my gamecube. That game rocks.
It has been very shitty weather so far, at least the past couple weeks, and haven't been able to flea market it up yet.

I will make up for the extra cash I have now, and spend, spend, spend when the games come around. There are about 5 gamecube games that I have reserved already that come out in the next 2-3 month, and about 3 games for the gba.
Bond:Everything or Nothing
Mega Man Ann. Collection
Metal Gear
Mission Impossible
FF CC

GBA:
Aladdin
Metroid
Mega Man Ann. Collection for gameboy

MARIO KART DOUBLE DASH is also keeping me pretty busy!! LOVE THAT GAME!!

533 games. Picked up a whole lot of PSX games in the past few weeks. Not much of anything else. Just a couple NES and some boxed Genny games. Oh, and brand new Pokémon Hey You, Pikachu game in box.

Still going strong, had a good month (for the collection that is):

4 x NES (1 boxed)
1 boxed Jaguar
1 boxed SNES
1 empty SNES box :)
1 boxed Megadrive
GC 251 block memorycard
4 SNES games
9 NES games
3 GC games
1 GBA game
6 DC games
2 SMS games
2 MD games

SNES light box (real cool)
Mario Bros telephone

Heh.... added almost 30 new Saturn games to my library, and lately I've been on an "obscure import" spree.

It seems every day I keep crossing off more and more wants from my list....... :D

my collection, compared to its size before the new year, has grown about 20% larger already. heres my stats on what i've gained so far this year

Genesis = 3 games
SNES = 2 games
Sega CD = 1 game
Saturn = 1 game
Dreamcast = 1 game
NES = 3 games
CV = 17 games
2600 = 23 games
WS = 1 games
WSC = 1 games

Total games this year = 53
Last years collection total = 239
This years collection total = 292

Percent of growth = 22.17%

I also got a working coleco vision with other CV hardware

Gotten some nice finds this year so far:

Gunstar Heroes (Mega Drive) - $4 AUD, boxed

Bangai-O (DC) - $33 AUD, mint

Plus an array of cheap new games for the current systems.

Currently my collection is at 188 games. I was hoping to make 200 by the end of last year, but my 'quality over quantity' mentality stopped that from happening.

Should hit 200 by the end of February. My current collecting focus is on Dreamcast, Saturn and Mega CD (although, I'm just not finding any of the latter :o ).

Plus I think I should stop neglecting consoles like my Game Gear and Lynx. Might start focusing on one of them once my Dreamcast collection is sizeable enough.

I'm also looking to invest in an Atari 7800 and a Neo Geo Pocket Color (the latter more so).

2004 should be a good year for me. :)

I haven't acquired a large number of games this year. The total so far this year is 6. They are quality titles on newer systems. I have thinned out my collection a bit this year.
