Displaying N64 carts

So I've finally cleaned up my gaming room and put my rather meager collection on display. Most of my games are loose, but they all have a nice sticker on the top or side so that I can put them in rows on the shelves and have everything in view and easilly accessible. (Sign that I'm developing a serious problem: I alphabetized. Somebody help me.) All, that is, but the N64. They have labels on the top, but the rounded sides make them impossible to balance that way. So I'm stuck with an unattractive little row of plain grey-sided carts. How do you handle the games like this that defy your usual storage system?

Get yourself some of the plastic snap cases. I not sure where you can get them any more. Maybe ebay.
They came in multiple colors and you could make up labels for the spine.

i write my own labels for em and stack em up, i do the same for a lot of my loose carts, 5200, SMS, SFC, jaguar.

Those snap cases are a good idea...that's what I use anyway. If you are lucky, you might be able to find some in a game store when people bring in used games in those cases. I just recently got some from Gamecrazy.

I use the official N64 Clamshells (holds a game, mem card, and manual) and then stick label on the spine.

I find the original N64 boxes are best for display.Well, duh. I wish I could fond all my boxes. Sad they're probably gone for good. Wish I had known that I'd actually NEED them one day.

I made the mistake of writing on the tops of mine (Most of them) with Permanent Marker back in the day. I didn't know better to use labels instead.

I stack the bunches of N64 games that the GOAT Store has on their sides so that they are all flat. For labeling, I usually just keep them alphabetical. If not, I put stickers on the side of the drawer they are in indicating which place is which game.

I stand all my carts upright, so I used a label maker, and put the name of each game on top of the cart :)

As a random aside...

For my Jaguar carts, I put the label on the front of the "handle"...easy to flip through them that way :)

Sign that I'm developing a serious problem: I alphabetized.

Better get me a jacket that ties in the back then, I alphabetize everything. CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, Laserdiscs, books... EVERYTHING. Well, not the sock drawer or kitchen pantry, but damn near everything else. How am I supposed to find it if it's not in alphabetic order? :)


How do you handle the games like this that defy your usual storage system?

I recommend donating them to your local retrogaming roundtable. ;) Failing that, I just alphabetize 'em and flip through when I need to find a game.
