Does anyone know if it is possible to modify a US sega genesis model 2 to play japanese and euro carts? And if so, how do you do it.

To play Japanese carts, just file off the corners in the cart slot. :)

Yes, there is a way. FIling the corners only helps for games w/ no region protection. Also, just use a game genie...pls don't file. :-)
The mod involves makeing a switch between two jumpers, if I remember correctly
