I've been looking for Bust-a-move 3000 since its release a while ago. Nobody had it. FINALLY, TODAY, I find one at a Fred Meyer's by my house, right under my nose. What's the deal with this game? Why is it so hard to find? Bust a move isn't the most popular franchise, but still, one would think that they would have shipped more than one copy to vendors. Anybody have the skinny on this game?

Also, I suspect that this is the same game as the PAL release, Super Bust-a-move All-stars. Am I right?

I have never heard of this game. Did it come out in the US?

I think the only place I've seen it is the Rogers Video near my house, available to rent. I guess this one didn't get a very high distribution.

Is the game any good? I've always liked Bust-A-Move, but I already have Bust-A-Move 4 for the Dreamcast, so I'm not likely to get the Gamecube one unless I find a good deal.

Well, I'm in the US, and I'm holding it, so I can say w/ 100% accuracy that yes, it did. I think it was originally going to be called Super Bust-a-move 3, or something along those lines, but then the name changed almost at the last minute.

Its a decent game, but I'm not sure how it compares to the DC version, as I've never played it. I originally was interested in SMB 3000, because I like puzzle games, and I liked Super Bust a Move on the SNES, so it was intriguing. I like the different modes of play--it has "classic," "normal," "vs. computer" and "2 player vs" modes. There's supposedly a story to each character too, but I haven't played it too much yet, so I'm not positive.

Nope.

The first release of the Super Bust-A-Move game for the PS2 was just titled, "Super Bust-A-Move". It has the baby photo, blowing the red bubble.

The sequal to that on PS2 was "Super Bust-A-Move 2", with an animated cast of characters on the cover.

The only US released Bust-A-Move for the Gamecube was "Bust-A-Move 3000", which has a similar cover (if not the same art) as the PS2 release of Super Bust-A-Move 2.

Now, being the only Bust-A-Move game released for the Cube, coupled with the fact that was a somewhat limited release, along with the fact that the Cube's experienced some difficulties, have let many to believe that it is very difficult to find.

I suppose they may be right...

I hate, hate, HATE the new abstractly drawn characters they've added to the series. They completely change the look of the game and they're really out of place. I lost a little respect for the Bust-A-Move series after the designers introduced the bizarre new cast of characters.

This game was released only at Toys R Us, if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think it's rare. Everybody thought P.K. Out of the Shadows was rare, too, but they were sorely mistaken...

So does this version have incredibly annoying, high pitched japanese voices? It just wouldn't be Bust-A-Move without incredibly annoying, high pitched japanese voices.

does this game feature the pulley system that the dreamcast had? that was cool, i stil need a copy of this game on one system or another (other than emu i mean) i was thinking like $20 used max...not $60 :(

they should put out a puzzle repack...super puzzle fighter (oh yeah !), bustamove, tetris (2player of course), dr. mario, and columns. i know they are all diferent companies and it would never happen but how cool would it be to have all 5 of those on one disk.

This game was released only at Toys R Us...

What makes you say that?

I'm not arguing, just wondering where you got that information.

If it makes you feel any better, ebgames.com doesn't have any kind of listing for the game and gamestop.com only has a used listing.

yep,it's released in europe under the name "super bust a move allstars"(I have it)
Although they changed the art,I think it's the best of the series.
4 player mode is just awesome and always good when u got u bunch of drunken friends at home.
I also like the "Space Invaders"-wannabe cute'em up mode...it's kinda addicting
just my 2 (euro-)cents
