Pity. The adapters are harder to find than the pianos and carts themselves.

Good luck. You'll need it.

Thanks man, although it seems as though the nes adapters aren't too hard to find, I'v seen them sold many times with the original cart, so there is no Nes to Snes controller port out there . I'm referring to something like the duo tap for the turbo grafx

Actually, you can make your own adapter. The two controllers are quite compatable.

But the question is, even if you did, would the software still allow it to work?

Anyway, next time you can, pick up an NES Miracle cable and an SNES Extension cable.

You'll have to do some splicing and wire matching, which I can't help you with, but if I'm correct, it might work. Not sure how well it will work with the software, but I believe it might actually work with some luck.

Edit: I assume it's just a matter of lining up the pins with the correct pins. Someone probably has a Pinout somewhere and could help you or make one for you.

Yeah, my sources tell me it is easy to splice a snes and nes cord together.

Does anyone have a loose Snes Miracle Piano cart? I would like to get it...

I only have an NES cart. But no Piano or anything. :( And I so want to try it out! Though, I'd probably have better luck making it work if I could find the SNES version, seeing as my SNES actually WORKS.

I'll try to check when I get home - I think I have an extra Miracle Piano, missing the cart/instructions/cable/AC Adapter. In other words, just the piano itself.

Splicing huh.. that really doesn't sound easy here.. I'm not into that technical mod it, fix it, do it yourself junk, If someone could help me out I'll pay em to do a basic splice so I can dump this piano, thanks

What with Karaoke Revolution and DDR, I wonder how long it will be before this comes back out in a new form? I'd take a serious look at buying it.

Dump? You're getting rid of it? Ooohhh....

I've got :

2 pianos - one missing the button panel overlay.
2 complete styrofoam packaging
1 box, in very bad condition
2 AC Adapters
1 Instruction Manual for the NES version
1 NES cart
1 SNES cart
1 foot pedal
1 Piano-to-SNES cable

So, to have 2 functional sets, I'd need another foot pedal (never gonna happen) and a Piano-to-NES cable, which from the messages above sounds relatively easy to get.

I'm confident I COULD, if I had the pinouts or a schematic, adapt an NES extension cable to make my own cable.

Does anybody happen to know where that information might be found online? OR, alternatively, do any of you have both an NES cable, and a multimeter to figure out which controller plug contact connects to which pin at the piano end of the cable?

Unfortunately I do need to sell it.. I don't have room for bulky items like this no matter how cool they are, so yes, anybody able to make that nes to snes adapter from a snes controller extension, help would be much appreciated!

I've been in and out of the market for a Miracle for a while. Missed out on a few, and after I have bought my Famicom GBA SP, I'll be looking again. If it's not too much.

(Sorry to re-quote the original post, but I was beginning to lose track of the original request, so I thought a recap was in order.)

You have an NES cable, but need an SNES cable, right?
I need an NES cable.
I have an SNES cable (that I don't want to lose), and I am confident I can figure out the pinouts of it and duplicate it.

SO, if you're interested, I propose that I'll make a second SNES cable, using mine as a guide, and I'll trade you the spare SNES cable I make for your NES cable.

Does that sound good to you?

Naturally I'll test the cable out before sending it to you, and for everybody's beneift I'll post the SNES cable info online once I determine it. THEN, after I receive the NES cable I'll post the specs for it as well.

Noah, that does sound like a Great deal, however the nes adapter wasn't exactly a total extra... I was just willing to use it for my snes miracle because my extra nes miracle isn't Complete in box.. I'm definitly willing to give you my original for an snes one, however could I pay you to make another nes replacement one as well.. let me know, sounds like we got somethin goin here

What does the plug on the Piano end of the adapter look like? Is it a standard plug of any sort? An easier way than dissecting an NES version to make an SNES version is to just use an old dead SNES controller for its wire and buy a plug at a store like a Radio Shack or Hobby place.

@ Classicgaminggary -- I'm not in this for profit - if you supply the parts and shipping, I'll gladly make you the cable. What I'll need is:
* An NES extension cord or scrap controller, from which I'll get the cord/plug.
* The already existing cable, so I can figure out what wire connects to which pin, and duplicate it.
* A Male DB-25 connector

PM or email me and we can work out the details.

@ Jasoco -- The piano end of the cable is a male DB-25 connector, like what you would find on the end of a parallel printer cable.

You could probably actually make a small profit recreating connectors for people who have the pianos and the games, but no wire.

I know who to look to if I ever get a Piano with no wire.
