I don't want to sound dumb or anything, but I have been using forums and chatrooms for at least 7 or 8 years now, and I have no clue what it means to "bump" a thread. Does it basically mean you like the thread, so you say bump, so that it stays on top, or is it a tricky way to get your posts higher or what? I know this has little to nothing to do with selling/buying, but since you said bump, i fugred you guys wouldn't mind explaining it to me.

once a post gets pushed to the second page or farther, it won't get as much notice, so someone will "bump" it back to the top of the first page by posting.
