This is just a little bit of forward thinking, but I saw this on the-magicbox.com and thought it looked suspect:

- D3 Publisher will also release a Crazy Taxi alike taxi driving game for PS2 called Simple 2000 Vol. 48 The Taxi Driver in Japan in April;

Now this sounds like a Crazy Taxi clone, just like Simpsons Road Rage, which Sega is currently suing EA over. Question is: do you think they'll go after D3 as well? If they don't it would show something I sort of suspected all along: Sega hates EA. They're rivals in the immensely popular sports genre and Sega has reason to be bitter with EA about their non-support of the DC. Any thoughts?

I doubt they will. D3 has been copying tons of games in Japan, and releasing them in their "Discount series". I think that EA is another story altogether, especially considering EA's size and their history, as you noted. Also, Sega's Crazy Taxi series is a little dead now anyway.
