And I thought the box artwork for the American version of Mega Man 2 was cheesy. Actually, it WAS, but even it doesn't compare to the so-bad-it's-gouda European Mega Man 2 box art.

I always thought the Euro boxart for Megaman 1 was better than both the American (a given) and Japanese art. After that it was a curious amalgamation of chrome body parts and anime faces.

Yeah I agree that the Pal artwork for Megaman 1 was actually pretty good. It did resemble how the characters actually looked in the game.
