Because it is a cart copier. It allows you to make backups of your actual games.

Two reasons why. One maybe a one day auctiona dn 2 a good BIN price. I got mine on ebay for 35 plus shipping. Didn't have a power supply but still, that one with everything for 100 is a hell of a deal. plus it plays vcd's:)

That's a good deal. These are becomming increasingly hard to find. This one slipped through the cracks, because both eBay and Nintendo fight these things. I have the Z64 which is similar except it uses zip disks instead of CDs, and I paid $300 for mine.

very cool. i didn't really realise the amount of piracy on the n64.
