NOT! It might just be my keen observation but I would not call this "sealed".

And for only $500.00 you can get a free common game!

There sure are some wily "pitch men" out on eBay town, aren't there? Fortunately we're brilliant buying strategists so these tactics are all rather transparent.

LOOKS LIKE IT CAME STRAIGHT OFF TEH SHELF. THE SHELF OF 1985 THAT IS!
Har-Har.. the sad part is he's got people bidding it over $120.. that's boxed top-loader territory.. hell, I saw this same thing this weekend for $40.00 (and pretty much any flee market has someone with a boxed nes for sale for outragious amounts.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I spy a Mattell logo on the box. Wouldn't that imply this is a PAL unit? No where in the description does it say anything about that. Not that there's anything wrong with PAL, unless you have a NTSC set like say 99.999% of the people in the US who are bidding on this.
And I know, you're bidding on it as a collectable, but how would a PAL version effect the price? Seems like everyone wants NTSC.
EDIT: Maybe it's Canadian? I'm not a NES collector so I can't remember where in the world Mattell distributed the NES. It also looks like French and Engligh on all the packaging, so maybe that's it?
I'm sure someone will set me straight. :)

I picked up nes control deck system, which IS new in the box unopened for $30, thought it was a hell of a find. $120, almost makes me wanna sell mine... nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Nice collection piece, But i will trade for NHL 2003 and Kingdom Hearts! =) haha

Mattell was the NES distributor in Canada. all NES systems say "Mattell" on the bottom of them, along with a 416 area code phone number (416 is the Toronto area code, which is where I'm from).
I've probably had a couple dozen systems go through my hands, and they were all Mattell.
