Seriously, though. You need to get one... it's worth every penny. I currently only play TurboGrafx-16, but the book is just straight up awesome reading material if you like video games.

Nintendo World Championship Gold Game Pak is probably the rarest game.

The NWC gold cart is the rarest, but I really don't consider it a must own for the set. Either, Stadium Events or the Panesians are the rarest.

Also, get the book. It's a blessing to an NES collector, and well worth the money.

Aside from the ultra-rares mentioned above, some of the nes titles I've expended the most time and money acquiring are:

Action 52
Bandit Kings of Ancient China
Bonk's Adventure
Bubble Bobble 2
Cheetahmen II
Contra Force
Flintstones: Surpise at Dino Peak
King Neptune's Adventures
Little Samson
Moon Ranger
Nobunaga's Ambition II
Panic Restaurant
R.C. Pro-Am II
Romance of the 3 Kingdoms II*
Secret Scout
Stack-up (Complete)

*Still looking for Romance OT3K2, the last "regular" NES cart I need.

If you find any of the above in the wild, you've had a good day! Glad to hear you're getting the DP guide...an unbeatable NES resource. Good luck collecting NES...it still shows up pretty often at rummages and thrifts.

I hear Hatris is pretty rare but yet my local EB games has like 10 copies of that game. I'd say Wacky Races is rare, not the rarest but goes for at least over 20 bucks complete. Was Lion King released on NES in the U.S or was that only released in Europe?

Euro only for Lion King. Wacky Races and Hatris are hard to find. In some stores, you'll find a couple, but you could go for several more without seeing one.

Whoever wrote it is a genious seems so awesome.

It's a guy named Greg-3. We've raised Greg-3 from birth. All he knows is how to use the internet and how to make the data we give him relevent.

He is no genius. He's an experiment, and I fear for the day he breaks his constraints.

LROFL! I wonder if his origin is similar to Bruce-3?

Goodwill Hunter made an excellent list of some rare NES games, here's a few more I'd throw in:

Dragon Warrior 3
Dragon Warrior 4 (both of these go for a lot of $, but not impossible finds)
Dusty Diamond's All Star Softball
The Jetsons
Namco Ms. Pac-Man
Namco Pac-Man
Power Blade 2 (still haven't seen this in the wild, cheap on eBay though)
Princess Tomato (still can't find this game anywhere)
Quattro Arcade
Rainbow Islands
Snow Brothers
Swordmaster
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters
Tengen Tetris (has recently dropped in value though)

It's weird, some of the harder games to find (for me at least) aren't worth much (Power Blade 2, Quattro Arcade, Hatris, Rockin' Kats, Swordmaster, etc.) but some games that are easier to find are worth a lot more. Yeah, it's all about demand, but I listed some awesome games that are hard to find
that I'm guessing are too obscure to be sought after.

The most uninteresting games out of all the rare ones is Stadium Events for me. It's only rare, and it doesn't offer anything new, since it's just the same game as World Class Track Meet.
