Will a 32x adapter work in a Genesis 3 or a Nomad?

I don't think you can use a 32X with a Nomad. Would be cool. It would sorta defeat the purpose of a Nomad. I'm not 100% about the Genesis 3. I don't think they are compatible. I've heard that the only system compatible with the 32X that Sega doesn't endorse is the CDX. I forget what the reason is, something about the government not letting them list it for some reason. Hope this helps. I am pretty sure that I am correct, would somebody confirm or correct me? Thanks!
