I have been coming to DP for a long time now always hoping to have somthing the give back and i now do.

Any one interested in any of the old coleco tabletop replacement decals let me know. As of right now i have Ms pacman Ready to go. The Package includes Both side Decals as well as the top, marquee and instruction decals. (Sorry no control panel overlay. If any one has a scan of them and can help me out i would owe a debt to you.) Frogger is next to be released. All decals are Lazer Printed on high glossy paper just like the origionals and every detail is exact right down to the color. Each origional is so detailed that the file for them alone is over 7 megs a sticker. For years Stores have been offering Replacement Decals for arcade machines. Now you can get them for the coleco tabletops. Also if you have a site and are intersted in putting up a banner for me i would do the same as the site is now being built. The asking price is $24.99 for all the stickers plus $3 S&H

That's a pretty cool service. Of course, coming from the cheapo perspective, it's a bit much for some replacement stickers, since that goes a long way towards a loose tabletop on eBay these days. At $10, I'd buy a few, probably, at $15, I'd think about it, but at $25 + shipping, I'd just wait until I found another better condition TT for $50.

No matter, I'd love to see these stickers. Really cool idea! Oh, do you so instruction stickers for battery covers? I'm sure people would dig that!

Good luck selling,

ian

That's great!

I would probably rather wait until you had all your scans done and had a website to order them from...

Can't wait to see more of these done!

As for the marquee....do you mean like a thing that went over the top of the unit? Didn't everyone lose these? I've never even seen one, though I own many of these Coleco units...

Thanks for the reply i was thinking about offerering them for $25 with shipping for digitpress members only. What do you guys think of that?

as for the marquee that is the front sticker that faces you that has the title of the game on it. the top sticker usually just has a picture on it.

yes i do include instruction decals for the battery cover. And a web site is on the way.

its a great idea and i'm glad you did it but seriously the price is thru the roof. i know it costs a lot on your end, after all you're not doing a giant commercial run. i think i might go for it at $25 per the whole line but cant see paying $150 for that (zaxxon included).

see keeping cost low is hard the paper is 5 sheets for $10 because of the quality. then ink to refill the printer. it adds up. if i offered it at $19.99 would people think that is more fair. i could always think of some promotion like $25 each or if you order 2 it would be 2 for $40 free shipping. Right now i am just strting if i got a lot of orders then i could afford to go cheeper because i would be making a bigger run.

If you go in to a place like Copymax with print-ready files (like PDF), you could have them printed on Xerox color laser machines for less than $2/sheet. If they complain about copyrights, make something up (or actually try and get permission).

doing the actual copies is not whats killing me it is the paper. Sticker paper that is. the paper that i use is the only one i have found that looks exactly like the paper coleco used. that paper alone costs $10 for 5 sheets. the printer i own myself so im not worried about that .

These are very cool. I'm not into tabletops, but I like this idea. I am curious though, you're complaining about cost, but how many sheets does it take for one machine? It seems like w/ a little creativity you could fit them all on 2 sheets, so that's a $4 paper cost. At most $6, which leaves $19 for the printing. I'm not trying to bash the idea at all, but I believe this is why everyone is finding the to be too expensive. I'd also suggest pics (lower res of course) of the actualy stickers on the website.
