I would like to know how everyone feels about cannibalizing the O'Shea NIB games for homebrews. I've heard that some people are opposed to the idea. Thoughts?
Thanks,

Sounds like an easy, cheap way to get some cart casings myself. I say go for it!

If you are sacrificing rare games I could see how peole might be mad. I say screw them and do what you want.

The O'Shea games are far from rare. Most people won't bother buying them for $1-2 each because there are so many of them out there.

Yea I know I was just saying if you are going to kill rare games then I could see how people would get pissed.

If they're so opposed then they should buy up each and every one to protect them. It's a free market, you pay for them, you get to do what you want with it.
Also, O'sheas has quite a few of these, don't they? Several million? Are they just now running out?

I'm opposed to it on principle. Didn't atariage get new cart casings made, though? I thought I heard they did.

Atari Age has been working on new cart casings for quite a while. I'm not sure if they've finished them or not. Video Game Wiz does offer new cart casings, both in black and clear. We're actually looking into using the O'Shea games for a couple projects where we could re-use the boxes as well. Thanks for the input so far.
