I've started working on a NES variants list. I'm going to cover whatever I can find for variations, including Carts, Books, and Boxes.

Hmm, a project that is as ambitious as my own. Good luck.

nice effort, BUT you need to structure it more, if i click on K i don't want to see 3248721084 pics at once (you get what i mean), make a game list for each letter and only show the pics when you click on that game, the site's a pain in the ass for 56k users right now (and if you don't change it, it will also be for ADSL users in the future!)

its an angelfire site, I'm not worried about how nice it is. I was typing a list for me and a couple other collectors and figured if I tossed some pics online it might help people who don't understand what were talking about.

I started out with each game having its own page, that was a helluva lot of work for 1 picture.

I might just run my own server and host my own website. If anyone can give me tips or refer me to good links, I'd appreciate it.

Already have a PC to run the site, frontpage 98 or 2000, and 3000K bandwith upload and download. So all I have to do is figure out how to set everything up

Evan? how do you have yours hosted? Also if you need any SNES pics let me know, I can get you carts, books, boxes, and almost every board

it's nood about being nice, it's about being usable, you just can't put more than 500kb pics on one page! it can't be that much work to make a site for each game.... please do your visitors this favor, they will appreciate it :)

Actually, I'm not uploading anything at the moment due to lack of time, just collecting. My partner on my site is coding everything in php, so it will me a much less painful process to make the site. I have all my games sorted by serial code to make things even more organized. Just look at this example:

http://snescentral.edgeemu.com/games/AX/AD/index.html

Essentially, I just have a link to the image (which I doubt you can do on a free host like angelfire).

If you want to contribute to my snes scans project, this is what I have so far:

are you also planning to keep track of which games were released with the original style carts(where on either side of the top label is flat, as opposed to the later versions that have plastic connector things)? i was trying to make a list of those, i think i have about 50...

I didn't plan on that , I won't take pictures of all of those, but if you send me the list I will add it to my site and help add some more games to the list.

thanks, dave

you mean games with five screws? I have yet to see a game with this flat top that is three screws. I also collect these and have a ton. I sent some picks to you dave and if you need anymore just let me know. I have also been working on a variation list myself. For extremely rare variations i heard that there was a myraid cart with the label on upside down. Anyone confirm these?

Five screws = flat top
Three screws = clasp top

The clasp replaces the extra 2 screws. Probably saved a good chunk of change. You shouldn't be able to find a flat top with 3 screws, or vice versa.

Upside down myriad? I wouldn't doubt it, but I haven't seen it yet.
