Semi dead Colecovision cartridge question

The cart in question is Frontl Line. I tried it today and it comes up with the "Colecovision Presents Frontline by Taito", but after a few seconds when it should display the blue game select screen it will just go to a black screen. I have never had this happen with a CV cart before. If it were dead wouldn't it just not work at all instead of displaying the title info? And yes, it has been cleaned to the max.

I had a Rocky SA boxing like that. Cleaned Cleaned CLEANED. Final verdict, it was dead. I got the level select screen (sometimes garbled), but just flat colours and lines after that.
